We’re excited to invite you to an evening of hands-on building, hacking and experimentation together with Velory, 46elks and IkonAI.
This is not a traditional event. No slides, no pitches, no program. Just builders in a room, exploring ideas together and seeing what we can create when we combine platforms, the latest AI tooling, hardware and curiosity.

We’ll meet at Velory HQ in Stockholm (Sveavägen 34) for a relaxed after-work-like hackathon where the focus is purely on building, testing and collaborating.

On site there will be space for experimentation, integrations across platforms and (for those who want to go deeper) hardware exploration and creative setups.

Meetup #39 will take place September 24 at AI Sweden and focus on "Model Optimization & CPU Based Inferencing". We're super excited to team up with Spanish Quantum AI wizards Multiverse Computing and tech giants Intel and HPE. The program is currently being worked out, so stay tuned for updates!

There is a tremendous amount happening in the area of model optimization and inferencing. Novel approaches to both seem to be announced daily, such as making it possible to run the recently released 2.78 trillion parameter model Kimi K3 on a single CPU with 8GB of memory...!!! or Multiverse Computing's July 23 announcement that all their compressed models now run on Intel Xeon 6 Processors.

So buckle up and brace for impact!

- Franco Serra, Solutions Architect at Multiverse Computing will give a talk titled "Ultra Efficient Models to Scale your GenAI Datacenter & Fit for purpose on the Edge deployment". Abstract: As organizations race to deploy Generative AI, two challenges dominate: how to scale inference economically in the datacenter, and how to bring intelligence on the edge where connectivity, power and footprint are constrained. Multiverse Computing makes ultra-efficient, compressed AI models, including LLMs, VLMs, speech-to-text, and computer vision models — engineered to deliver the same accuracy with a fraction of the memory requirements. By integrating with Intel® hardware, enterprises can deploy larger AI models on existing infrastructure rather than expanding it. - Jonas Svennebring, Principal Engineer at Intel and Theo Charitidis, Machine Learning Engineer also at Intel will give a talk titled "Architecting the future AI/ML CPUs". Abstract: The future of AI/ML capable CPUs will depend on architectures that balance computational performance, memory efficiency, and adaptability. To that end, it is essential that high multiply-accumulate (MAC) throughput enabled, supported by a well-balanced memory subsystem. Another key architectural guidance is figuring out which workloads should realisticly run on general-purpose cores and which should be delegated to specialized accelerators. Finally, supporting the correct dynamic range and numerical precision will be critical for striking the right balance between reliable application results and minimizing hardware costs."

- Johan Fondin, Solution Architect at HPE will give a talk titled "Out of the box KV-cache acceleration". Abstract: How do you increase the number of concurrent sessions on a GPU by a hundredfold, and 20x times faster as well? Learn how HPE solves this issue with their new KV-cache acceleration technology for AI platforms .

Contract-first REST APIs with ASP.NET Core Minimal APIs

Most ASP.NET Core APIs treat OpenAPI as documentation generated from the implementation. That works well at first, but it can make the contract feel secondary: clients discover breaking changes late, API reviews happen after the code is written, and documentation can drift from what consumers expect.

In this session, we’ll look at a contract-first approach for building REST APIs with ASP.NET Core Minimal APIs, where the OpenAPI document becomes the source of truth rather than a by-product. We’ll explore what this changes in the development workflow, how strongly typed contracts can help keep implementation and specification aligned, and what trade-offs come with moving the API contract to the center of the design process.

We’ll also compare this approach with the more common code-first style in .NET.

Based on the experience of hundreds of customer projects Anders shares his recommendations for authentication and authorization with Asp.Net Core.

ASP.NET Core Authentication and Authorization - the Key Concepts
This is an introductory session that will show the basic concepts of Authentication and Authorization in Asp.Net Core and how they interact. Topics that are covered include:

• Authentication Schemes: Configuration and working with multiple schemes.
• Asp.Net Identity: When to use it and how it affects the schemes used.
• Data Protection: How it is used behind the scenes and the configuration required before going to production.
• Authorization Policies: How to use them with a minimum of ceremony.

Renato Golia
Renato Golia is a software architect and developer with a focus on .NET, cloud-based distributed systems, and infrastructure. He works day-to-day with ASP.NET Core, AWS, Azure, and Terraform, mostly on systems where API design, integrations, and operational concerns are tightly connected to the architecture.
He has also created and maintained several open-source projects for .NET developers, with over 12 million downloads on NuGet. His work spans API design, contract-driven development, and cloud architecture, with a recurring interest in keeping system boundaries explicit enough to evolve over time.

Anders Abel
Anders Abel is a senior .NET developer in Stockholm. He has been programming since he was 9 and still thinks it’s tremendously fun. When asked what he does for a living he often responds "building login buttons". Anders has extensive experience on Single Sign On and API security. His Saml2 library is trusted by millions of users world wide and he has deep expertise on OAuth and OpenID Connect from his work on Duende IdentityServer.

I Kina rullar kommersiell robottaxitrafik i ett tjugotal städer, och under 2026 har de första kommersiella tjänsterna startat i Europa. Självkörande bilar rullar nu på tre kontinenter, ökar trafiksäkerheten drastiskt, sänker transportkostnaderna och frigör värdefull yta i våra städer.

Men i Sverige lyser de med sin frånvaro. Trots att svenska bolag är med och utvecklar spetstekniken i världsklass finns det inte en enda kommersiell självkörande bil på svenska vägar. Vi lever kvar i försöksstadiet medan omvärlden har växlat upp till reguljär drift.

Varför har Sverige hamnat efter? Och framför allt: Vad krävs för att vi ska ta klivet in i framtiden?

Välkommen på rapportlansering och seminarium där rapportförfattarna Rutger Brattström och Lowe Lundin presenterar sin nya rapport. Innehållet kommer sedan att diskuteras av en panel. I den här tekniska föreläsningen delar Tue Knudsen med sig av sina erfarenheter från några av Europas mest avancerade liveproduktioner och visar hur man bygger robusta, redundanta och framtidssäkra nätverk för ljus- och underhållningssystem.

Under föreläsningen går Tue igenom viktiga områden som Root Bridge, Network Querier, redundanta ISL-förbindelser, VLAN-konfiguration och multicast-trafik, samt hur dessa påverkar nätverkets stabilitet och prestanda.
