Tech Events in Stockholm

Stockholm has one of Europe's strongest product, fintech, and games-industry event calendars. The city's concentration of consumer-facing scaleups (Klarna, Spotify, iZettle, King, Mojang) shows up in unusually strong product-management, growth, and data-product event content. Events that in other cities would be engineering-focused tilt toward product experimentation and metric-driven design here.

The games scene is equally distinctive thanks to Stockholm's role as one of Europe's game-development capitals. Beyond that, there's a steady rhythm of software engineering, DevOps, and AI-applied meetups. English is the default working language for essentially all of the event scene.

Clojure Meetup @ Redpill Linpro

Stockholm, 🇾đŸ‡Ș Sweden

Welcome to a Clojure evening at Redpill Linpro! Whether you're a seasoned Lisper or just Clojure-curious, this is a great opportunity to meet the community, network and share knowledge.

Agenda

  • 19:00: Mingle and food
  • 20:00: Closing time

Talk Abstracts
10 Million Transactions, Zero Locks: Delivering High-Fidelity Business Analytics with Clojure—Hakan Cinar

In the modern data landscape, the bottleneck is rarely the library, but the language's ability to utilize hardware. While Python is the de facto standard for data exploration via C-extensions like Polars, it often hits a "performance ceiling" when business logic requires custom, multi-core transformations. This presentation demonstrates a comparative benchmark of Market Basket Analysis on 10 million retail transactions across 25 categories and 850,000 distinct customers.

We analyse the architectural trade-offs between Python’s imperative, object-heavy approach and Clojure’s functional, immutable-by-default paradigm. By visualizing a real-time Association Web and tracking CPU/RAM utilization, we show how Clojure’s structural sharing and JVM-native concurrency provide a more robust foundation for production-grade data pipelines. Attendees will see first-hand how Clojure eliminates the "GIL tax" and transforms massive datasets into actionable insights with lower memory overhead and greater systemic reliability.

Convincing Friends and Foes: Introducing Clojure at Large and Small Organisations—Billy J. Beltran

Are you struggling with spreading the gospel at your company? Can't convince your co-workers that '(1 2 3 4) is actually a very reasonable way of describing a sequence of things? I will explain how and why people sometimes react negatively to new technologies,
and how to convince them Clojure is actually a programmer's best friend with examples from small and large organisations.

Food Beverages and light food will be served. You will be asked about your dietary preferences when you sign up, and we'll do our best to accommodate everyone.

AI Collective Sweden, Informatica and Agentforce are joining forces to bring the next live event:

Ai in Data Management The foundation for the Agentic Enterprise

The race to become an Agentic Enterprise is on—and the winners won't be the companies with the most AI agents. They'll be the ones with the best data.

AI agents are only as powerful as the data they can trust. Without a solid data foundation, even the most sophisticated agents fall short. With it, they become engines of real business transformation—driving smarter customer experiences, empowering employees to do more, and unlocking operational efficiency at scale.

What's in it for you?

Whether you're leading a business unit, building enterprise systems, or designing data architecture, this session delivers clear, practical insights you can act on immediately:

  • Line of Business leaders – Discover how trusted data and AI agents translate directly into better customer outcomes, faster decisions, and competitive advantage.
  • Engineers – See how to integrate AI agents with enterprise data pipelines through live technical demonstrations of Informatica and Salesforce innovations.
  • Architects – Learn how to design and build a scalable, trusted data foundation that powers agentic workflows across your organization.
