Join us for an evening of storytelling, connection, and community at our meetup for women in the Malmö tech scene and beyond. This is a space to empower and support each other through personal stories and real, human connections—no 30-second pitches or polished LinkedIn profiles, just genuine conversations.

In a relaxed atmosphere with snacks and refreshments, we invite you to share a story from your professional or personal life. Feel free to read a poem, tell a joke, or even let out a well-timed curse—it’s up to you! No titles, no cool kids’ clubs, just a community that believes in the abundance of the women's community.

This event is centered around women, but it is also open to anyone who shares our values and sense of community. Men are also welcome to come and listen. Looking forward to welcoming you!

This is an open workshop for anyone interested in how AI might change the ways we work together as humans.

This is an open workshop for anyone interested in how AI might change the ways we work together as humans.

We seek to bring together a range of professional, educational and lived experiences: from people working with AI and other digital technologies to those working with organisations, teams, leadership, creativity, learning and collaboration in different forms.

As AI becomes increasingly embedded in our working lives, it is changing not only what we do, but potentially how we work together. What might this mean for relationships and trust at work? For how we communicate, coordinate, share knowledge, create together and make decisions? And what early signs of these changes can we already see around us, in our work, our teams, our organisations and in the world at large?

To kick off the workshop, we’re inviting three researchers and practitioners to share shifts they are seeing in human collaboration at work, signals of change they are curious about, and questions they think we should be paying attention to as AI becomes more present in our organisations and everyday work.

In the workshop part, you’ll learn about and practice identifying and using one of the core elements of foresight: signals of change. Side-by-side with people from different fields and backgrounds, we will share and map observations of how human-to-human collaboration at work is already changing as a result of AI use and explore where these changes could take us over the coming ten years.

Participation is free of charge, but seats are limited. The workshop will be held in English.

This workshop marks the beginning of the Collaborative Foresight cycle Futures of Human Collaboration and AI, hosted by Media Evolution in collaboration with DigIT Hub Sweden. DigIT Hub Sweden supports digital transformation in companies and the public sector in southern Sweden. The initiative is co-funded by the European Union, Tillväxtverket, Växjö Linnaeus Science Park, Region Blekinge and Region Skåne.

Clive Thompson explores how AI is changing who can build software, and what it means for creativity and work.

Ten years ago at The Conference, Clive Thompson explored how Minecraft was turning a generation of young people into designers, programmers and builders – showing what happens when technology invites us to open it up, understand it and make it our own.

Now, that spirit of tinkering is colliding with artificial intelligence. Programmers are handing growing parts of their work to AI, people with little technical training can build software by describing what they want, and autonomous agents are beginning to run real tasks and businesses.

Drawing on his recent reporting for The New York Times, Thompson returns to Malmö to examine a profound shift in our relationship with computers: from learning how to instruct machines to learning how to collaborate with them. Who becomes a builder when coding is no longer the main barrier? What happens to expertise, creativity and work when software can help create itself? And does AI represent a new golden age of digital agency, or a move away from the deep understanding that tinkering once gave us?

A decade after his The Conference talk, Clive Thompson takes stock of who gets to shape the digital world now.

Clive Thompson is a journalist and author who writes about how technology changes the way we think, work and create. He is a contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine and a columnist for Wired. His books include Coders: The Making of a New Tribe and the Remaking of the World (featured in our Futures Library) and Smarter Than You Think. His reporting combines deep curiosity about technology with a focus on the people, cultures and unexpected behaviours emerging around it.

The lecture is hosted in partnership with and as a side event to Øredev, an international developers conference that offers a mashup of practical knowledge and unique experiences organised in Malmö on November 4-6.
