Cloud & DevOps Events in Porto

Cloud infrastructure and operations events in Europe split between the big annual anchors (KubeCon + CloudNativeCon EU, DevOpsDays in a dozen cities, AWS re:Invent viewing parties, HashiConf) and the monthly community rhythm of Kubernetes user groups, Cloud Native meetups, and platform-engineering guild nights. This page tracks both.

This page narrows the Porto calendar to Cloud & DevOps events. It's a subset of Portugal's wider tech-event schedule, useful when you want something specific to go to in the city this month.

#7 AWS UG Porto 🤝 DevOps Porto | Back to Porto with Kuehne+Nagel

Porto, 🇵🇹 Portugal

We're back home.

After heading north to Braga for our 6th edition, AWS User Group Porto is back in the city, and this time we're joining forces with DevOps Porto for a joint edition you don't want to miss.
Two communities, one evening, two practitioner talks covering what really matters when you're building and running modern systems: how to think clearly under pressure, and how to make AI a reliable partner in software development.

Hosted at Kuehne+Nagel, one of the great tech spaces in the city.
📍 Venue: Kuehne+Nagel, Porto 📅 Date: May 20, 2026 ⏰ Doors open: 18:30

🎙️ Agenda

18:30 Check-in & Networking

19:00 Welcome & Intros AWS User Group Porto, DevOps Porto & Partners
Talk 1 🎤 Clear Thinking Under Pressure: Practical Tools for Better Decisions
In high-pressure situations, such as incident response, debugging, or critical deployments, decision-making can become slower, narrower, and more error-prone, even for highly skilled professionals.
This session explores how pressure impacts cognitive performance in real technical contexts and, most importantly, how to counteract it. The focus is on practical, immediately applicable tools you can use during high-stakes situations, including:

  • Simple pause protocols to reduce reactive decisions
  • Decision checkpoints to avoid common cognitive traps
  • Techniques to reduce cognitive load during incidents
  • Clear rules to improve judgment under pressure

You'll leave with concrete strategies to think more clearly, reduce errors, and make better decisions when it matters most.
Speaker: Teresa Limpo

Talk 2 🎤 Spec-Driven AI Development with Kiro
What does it take to turn AI into a reliable software developer? This talk explores Spec-Driven AI Development with Kiro, showing how clear, structured specs enable agents to build code incrementally, and produce maintainable results, avoiding the chaos of prompt-based development and bringing AI closer to real engineering practices.
Speaker: Luiz Otávio Rodrigues, Product Solutions Architect @ Kantar
20:30+ Catering, drinks & community networking 🍕🍺

A huge thank you to Kuehne+Nagel for opening their doors, synvert xgeeks for the continuous support, and to DevOps Porto for joining us on this one!

DevOps na Praia – Maio/2026 Meetup

Porto, 🇵🇹 Portugal

DevOps na Praia: Edição de Maio/2026 - Escalando Fronteiras e Performance! 🌊

📍Detalhes do Evento
  • Local: VML Office, Ed. Transparente – Matosinhos
  • Data: 21 de Maio de 2026
  • Hora: 18:30
  • Nota: Este é um meetup presencial.
🗓 Agenda

18:30 – Check-in & Welcome 👋

  • Speaker: Lucas Anjos – Platform Engineer @ Wellhub

  • Speaker: Guilherme Bravi – Platform Engineer @ Wellhub

20:00 – Networking, Snacks & Drinks 🍻
