Engineering Leadership Events in Helsinki
Events for engineering managers, CTOs, product leaders, and the people running technical teams sit in their own category. There's enough specific content for senior-plus practitioners that putting it under "software engineering" would bury it. This page tracks conferences and meetups aimed at the people leading the work rather than doing it directly.
This page narrows the Helsinki calendar to Engineering Leadership events. It's a subset of Finland's wider tech-event schedule, useful when you want something specific to go to in the city this month.

Motivation in the Era of AI
Helsinki, 🇫🇮 Finland
About the session
What truly motivates people?
Do rewards really boost motivation?
How do punishments (bad consequences) shape our behaviour?
In the age of AI, is our motivation rising, falling, or simply changing?
In this interactive session, we’ll explore these questions through classic experiments and recent research, your own experiences and powerful coaching questions. Along the way, we’ll see why agile ways of working and motivation are so closely connected. No lecture.
Key takeaways
The right reward for the right work: motivation boosters, motivation killers, and how punishments shape our behaviour.
The gap between science and work: what research says vs. what we actually do
Your own motivation spectrum: where you, or your team, stand, and how it connects to your goals
Motivation in the AI era: what’s changing, and what it means for you and your team
Who is it for?
Leaders, change agents, Agile coaches and Scrum Masters, and anyone curious about what drives people.
Bring your motivation and curiosity. That’s all you need!

LeSS Helsinki meetup vol 2

"Why agile stops at R&D — and what changes when teams are designed around customer value"
Many agile adoptions stop at the boundaries of R&D. Teams become “agile,” yet customer service, operations, and product development remain disconnected — creating delays, handoffs, and blind spots exactly where fast feedback and learning would matter most. In this talk, we share a real-world case involving four teams working on a cross-industry software platform for energy, climate, and environmental management.
Rather than optimizing R&D in isolation, we deliberately redesigned multiple teams to cover the entire customer journey, integrating product development, customer service, and operations into a single product group. This restructuring helped break down long-standing knowledge silos, shortened feedback cycles, and created a shared understanding of systemic constraints that had previously remained invisible.
Instead of presenting a polished success story, this session focuses on how we got there, what did not work initially, and which ongoing experiments continue to shape the product group today.
