AI Product Management: Demystifying the Hype
- By: Christoph Schönenberger spent eight years building data and AI products, from data science at Zühlke to product management at Migros and noimos.ai. Convinced that great AI products are first of all great products, he deliberately moved to B2C to be closer to end customers. He now leads App, Engage & Refer at Brack.Alltron, sharpening his discovery and UX skills with hundreds of thousands of users.

Wie hybride Teams mehr Wert schaffen — und woran man erkennt, dass sie es tun
Es hält sich hartnäckig, dass mehr herauskommt, wenn man ein besseres Modell nimmt oder mehr Agenten laufen lässt. Wer es versucht, erlebt meist etwas anderes: Es entsteht mehr Arbeit, aber nicht mehr fertige Arbeit. Der Stau verschiebt sich nur — vom Schreiben zum Prüfen.
Der Grund ist einfach. Ein Agent produziert in einer Stunde mehr Ă„nderungen, als ein Mensch in einer Stunde verantworten kann. Wer die Zahl der Agenten verdoppelt, verdoppelt deshalb nicht die Lieferung, sondern die Warteschlange vor der einen Person, die noch Ja sagen muss.
Bei uns wurde das an einem Morgen sichtbar, an dem fünf Agenten die Nacht durchgearbeitet hatten und niemand sagen konnte, was eigentlich passiert war. Seither arbeiten wir anders — nicht mit besserer Technik, sondern mit einer anderen Arbeitsteilung. Drei Dinge haben wir geändert.
Die Entscheidung steht vor der Arbeit. Bevor ein Agent Code schreibt, gibt es eine schriftlich festgehaltene, freigegebene Entscheidung darüber, was gebaut wird — mit Name und Datum.
Diese Entscheidung wird in Pakete zerlegt, die tatsächlich gleichzeitig laufen können, statt in Aufgaben, die sich gegenseitig blockieren.
Und eine einzige Übersicht beantwortet jeden Morgen die Frage, die im Alltag zählt: Was wartet gerade auf mich? Überwachen lassen wir automatisch laufen. Entscheiden nicht — und der letzte Schritt, fertige Arbeit zusammenzuführen, bleibt bewusst von Hand.
Für Product Owner, Product Manager und agile Projektleitung heisst das konkret: Aufwandsschätzungen verlieren ihren Sinn, wenn Aufwand beliebig geworden ist. Die eigentliche Auslastungsgrenze ist nicht das Team, sondern die Liste, die auf eine Person wartet. Und die Frage ist nicht mehr, wer arbeitet, sondern wer entscheidet.
Zu Beginn starten wir ein echtes Arbeitspaket. Am Ende schauen wir gemeinsam nach, was daraus geworden ist, und führen es zusammen. Was dann auf der Leinwand steht, haben wir nicht in der Hand — genau deshalb lohnt es sich.
