Brainberg

🇹🇭 Tech Events in Switzerland

Switzerland's tech-event calendar punches well above the country's size, anchored by Zurich (ETH and the deep ML-research community around it), Geneva (policy, research institutes), Basel (bio and health tech), Bern, and Lausanne (EPFL). Active cities on Brainberg right now include Zurich, Geneva, Bern, Lausanne, Luzern, Basel, Lancy, and Zug. Brainberg aggregates listings from multiple event platforms and community calendars into a single European feed, so the full schedule for the country shows up in one chronological view instead of spread across separate platforms.

Business AgilitÀt @CSS

Zurich, 🇹🇭 Switzerland

Imposter Syndrome enters the chat

MĂŒnchenstein, 🇹🇭 Switzerland

About the workshop (English):
UX Meetup Basel and Visual Fields Basel collaborate for a joint event. Two communities, one topic that everyone knows but hardly anyone talks about out loud. Impostor syndrome.

Impostor syndrome doesn't care about your job title. It affects designers. It affects researchers. It affects the person who's pretending they have everything under control. Yes, exactly that person.

For once, we're bringing our two communities together. Not to give talks. But to have honest conversations – in small groups, eye to eye.

What can you expect?
A workshop format. Real conversations. You share your experiences. You listen. Maybe you'll realize you're not alone. In fact, very likely. Together we'll gather what helps. What doesn't help. And what you've told yourself a thousand times already – without ever believing it.

About the speakers:
Georg Neuner-Jehle is a product designer and co-founder of Visual Fields, based in Winterthur, Switzerland. With a background in UX/UI design, he works across design, startups, and digital products, focusing on strategy and the fundamentals of what makes products work.

Marc Alan Zingg works in Graphic Design and is Host of Visual Fields Basel.
Being a Basel, Switzerland local, he works in and around the city in creative settings with experience in Interaction Design and Marketing.

Michael Nöthiger is a freelance experience consultant and a member of the organising committee for the UX Meetup Basel. He is passionate about impactful, user-centred design. Michael brings a fresh energy to every project, prioritises users’ needs without compromise, and develops bold, forward-thinking solutions.

When:
Wednesday, 5. May 2026, at 18:30
Place:
HGK Basel
Freilager-Platz 1,
MĂŒnchenstein

Agenda:

From mutable to immutable OS, our Kubernetes Cluster API journey

Product Night: Sustainable Discovery & Navigating Organizational Readiness 🚀

Zurich, 🇹🇭 Switzerland

We all know that product work isn’t just about developing features.

It’s about making product work sustainable - from keeping discovery alive over time to getting products launched without wasting too much energy on alignment, stakeholder management, and organisational friction.

That’s often where product work starts to slip: discovery isn’t maintained, launches stall, and too much effort goes into managing the system instead of building the product.

Join the Product Academy community at Westpark Zurich for an evening of raw insights, real-world failures, and proven frameworks from two industry experts.

Who is this for?

  • The Strategist: PMs who want to use Opportunity Solution Trees (OST) to build the right thing faster.
  • The Change-Maker: PMs in large corporates are tired of "stalled" launches and stakeholder misalignment.
  • The Lifelong Learner: Anyone looking to network with the Zurich product community.

Limited spots available.

The Lineup:
Vivienne Clement (Product Owner @ Swiss Post)

  • Talk: What happens when the Product is ready, but the Organisation isn't?
  • The Vibe: A deep dive into the "political" side of PMing. Learn how to manage stakeholder buy-in and overcome hidden resistance when launching AI and B2B products in large corporations.

John Huertas (Product Manager @ Swiss Re)

  • Talk: Making Continuous Discovery & Opportunity Solution Trees Sustainable.
  • The Vibe: Move beyond theory. John shares lessons from a multi-year journey of experimentation to show how teams can bring more discipline to discovery, improve prioritisation, and make product decisions with greater confidence.

The details:

  • 📅 When: May 7, 2026
  • ⏰ Time: 18:30 CET
  • 📍 Where: Westpark Zurich

Grab your seat and let’s level up your product game together!

#10 Newsletter Tools und Einbindung in WordPress - Erfahrungen & Austausch

Luzern, 🇹🇭 Switzerland

(z. B. Mailchimp, MailPoet, Brevo, FluentCRM, ActiveCampaign, Newsletter-Plugin
)

Cloud Native Bern Meetup, Mai 2026

Bern, 🇹🇭 Switzerland

17:05 - Orchestrating enterprise infrastructure from a single Cloud Native Control Plane (Angelo Gargiulo, Cyrill NĂ€f, Bank Julius BĂ€r)
Join us as we share Bank Julius BĂ€r's transformative automation journey that began in 2018, when manually deploying a single application environment took weeks. We'll trace our evolution from basic server deployment automation to our current distributed cloud-native control plane known as Fleet Commander.
Our automation journey began by introducing VMware vRealize Automation for server deployments, expanding to databases, container platforms, and other services published on our "IT Shop" portal. As demand increased, our centralized team became a bottleneck, and our hybrid cloud strategy required a new approach.
We implemented a distributed responsibility model where technical teams manage their own automation within architectural guardrails. However, limitations in state management and infrastructure-as-code capabilities led us to develop Fleet Commander—a cloud-native control plane for both on-premise and public cloud environments.
This session explores how we're using Kubernetes and Crossplane to build a scalable automation framework with GitOps-first infrastructure provisioning. We'll cover the architecture patterns that enable unified automation interfaces through a Kubernetes-like API while supporting diverse infrastructure requirements and day 1/day 2 operations.
Audience Takeaways:
‱ Architecture patterns for building distributed automation systems on Kubernetes
‱ Approaches to scaling automation capabilities using Crossplane
‱ Strategies for implementing GitOps workflows in automation platforms
‱ Methods for creating unified automation interfaces across different infrastructure domains
‱ Real-world insights from our evolution to a distributed automation model
‱ Technical implementation of a cloud-native control plane for hybrid environments
17:45 – Pause
17:55 - Adnovum Managed Services on Azure - Our Road to Implementation (Daniel Hogg, Vitor Bernardo, Adnovum)
This session walks through Adnovum's path towards implementing managed services on Azure. We review the strategic goals that shaped our approach, the technical and organizational challenges we encountered along the way, and the key insights we gained through the process.
As a closing perspective, we explore how this initiative connects to the broader topic of digital sovereignty—and what that means in the Swiss context.

Clarity for Product Leaders with Arne Kittler (Co-Founder of Product@Heart)

Bern, 🇹🇭 Switzerland

Are you experiencing friction with stakeholders? Wishing for more clarity about your role or goals? Whether you are leading a team of PMs or working as an individual contributor, don't miss this chance to make a difference in your organization!

We are exited to welcome Arne Kittler in Bern for his insightful talk on

Clarity for Product Leaders

As PMs, we can only succeed in collaboration with others. And successful collaboration is only possible when there's enough clarity about each other's roles, our direction and how to shape our collaboration.
This is why clarity is the number one superpower that distinguishes strong product people from the rest. And to truly benefit from the current promises of AI, clarity is more important than ever.
In this talk, Arne introduces a mental model to look at different layers of clarity that we need in product.
He will show you how to identify a lack of clarity in each of these layers and give you actionable tips for increasing clarity for yourself and the people around you, whether you are an Individual Contributor or a Product Leader.
The bottom-line of this talk is that everyone of us can help to bring more clarity to our product work - and this talk will show you how.

A big thank you to our sponsors 89grad and Securiton.

Successful innovations call for courage and the willingness to tread new paths
With the knowledge gained from decades of research and development (F&E) and the experience gained from the operation of products and systems installed around the world, Securiton ensures the security of tomorrow. We develop our core products in Switzerland with our nearshoring and farshoring hubs in Portugal and India and in close cooperation with the other F&E competence centres of the Swiss Securitas Group in Germany and Austria. We also rely on close cooperation with national and international innovation partners. When it comes to product provision, we work according to agile methods and with state-of-the-art technologies, architectures and tools. In doing so, we consistently focus on market requirements and customer needs.

Agile Game After Work #3

Lausanne, 🇹🇭 Switzerland

uite au succĂšs des deux premiĂšres sessions,
nous lançons l’épisode 3 de l’Agile Game After Work.

 ensemble.

Le format reste volontairement simple :
pas d’agenda imposĂ©, pas de slides.

👉 Open Forum
On joue, on échange, on apprend
 puis on recommence

Tech talk: Mastering GitHub Copilot CLI
Speaker: Aymen Furter - Cloud & AI Solution Engineer, Microsoft
Abstract: Learn to harness the power of agentic development by transitioning to autonomous, multi-step terminal workflows. This session focuses on mastering plan-based execution, repository-aware context, and integrating external data via the Model Context Protocol.

Tech talk: GitStop Using GitHub Copilot Like a Toy
Speaker: Emanuele Bartolesi - GitHub Tech Lead, Xebia
Abstract: Hub Copilot is easy to love in a demo. Real projects are different. Production codebases come with legacy code, missing context, inconsistent patterns, unclear requirements, and delivery pressure. That is where GitHub Copilot either becomes a real advantage or just an expensive toy. This talk focuses on practical ways to use Copilot in real development workflows, going beyond autocomplete. Agent mode, skills, Copilot CLI, and better prompting can make a real difference when working in messy repositories and under real deadlines. Designed for developers and tech leads who want more than flashy demos, this session shares concrete tactics to get better output, reduce noise, and make Copilot genuinely useful in day-to-day software delivery.

NixOS 26.05 ZHF Meetup & Hackathon

Rapperswil-Jona, 🇹🇭 Switzerland

It's time for a new NixOS release, 26.05 Yarara! 🎉

For a month before release, NixOS is in ZERO Hydra Failures stage. During this time, the community tries to fix all of the Hydra build failures in Nixpkgs. You can read more about the process here. The 26.05 release schedule will become available soon.

Who is this event for?
Anyone who's interested in Nix! Among the attendees you'll find core Nix contributors, full-on Nix beginners, and everything in between. This event is as much about the upcoming release as it is about engaging with the local Nix and functional programming community. It's a great opportunity to get your feet wet while helping us stabilise the next release.

Check out our user group website for more information about the venue and our agenda!

Do I need to bring anything?
A laptop would be useful. Food, drinks, coffee, tea, swag, desks, and friendly mentors are all provided. Bring as many friends as you can! 🙂 Make sure they RSVP, so we know how much food and swag to get.

Sounds great! Are there other such events?
We organise ZHF every 6 months and we organise smaller Nix meetups irregularly. NixCon 2025 also took place here in Rapperswil! Stay on top of these things by joining the Nix ZĂŒrich group or by visiting our website from time to time.

Hackathon
The main objective of the hackathon is to approach Zero Hydra Failures for the upcoming NixOS release by fixing bugs and build errors in Nixpkgs and NixOS.

A hackathon is also a great opportunity to address issues that are otherwise hard to fix or get going with. Therefore everyone can pitch projects they want to work on at the venue, and ask for assistance or schedule time to discuss their ideas or code.
