Brainberg

Software Engineering Events in Krakow

This is the widest category on Brainberg, because software engineering itself spans a huge range of events: language user groups (Python, Rust, Go, TypeScript, Kotlin, Elixir, Ruby, Zig), framework communities (React, Svelte, Next.js, Vue, Laravel, Django, NixOS), backend architecture tracks, testing and QA tracks (ISTQB certification courses, mutation testing, test-automation workshops), refactoring and DDD circles, hackathons, and the long tail of "thoughtful engineering" meetups that don't fit neatly under any specific stack.

This page narrows the Krakow calendar to Software Engineering events. It's a subset of Poland's wider tech-event schedule, useful when you want something specific to go to in the city this month.

Performance Engineering Meetup #7

Krakow, šŸ‡µšŸ‡± Poland

Dive into real-world insights, best practices and hands-on strategies for optimizing software performance!

Event Overview

The Performance Engineering Community invites you to the 7th Performance Engineering Meetup, continuing the Performance Engineering Meetup series focused on practical, experience‑driven engineering discussions.

This edition looks at how Performance Engineering is evolving - from data‑driven load test assessment to the practical use of AI in performance investigations - based on real systems and real constraints.

Agenda

šŸ‘Øā€šŸ« 18:00 – Beyond Pass/Fail – Data‑Driven Load Test Analysis by Dominik Jeziorski (Tanium)

šŸ“‰ Stop ā€œeyeballingā€ Grafana dashboards and hoping for the best.
This talk explores the evolution of load test assessment - from subjective, manual interpretation to āœ… automated, data‑driven evaluation models that scale.

āš ļø We’ll highlight common pitfalls of static SLOs and show how šŸ“ˆ percentage‑based baselines and āš–ļø weighted scoring models provide more reliable and comparable results over time.
You’ll learn how to turn raw performance data into objective signals that can be safely embedded into šŸš€ CI/CD pipelines for real, repeatable decision‑making.

šŸ‘Øā€šŸ« 19:00 – AI‑Assisted Performance Engineering: Bottleneck Debugging - What Worked, What Didn’t & Open Discussion by Aodan O'Sullivan (Sabre)

🧠 This session presents a real‑world performance investigation where GitHub Copilot was used to analyze and diagnose a critical bottleneck across 314,000+ lines of diagnostic data - in seconds.

āœ… We’ll walk through what worked
āŒ what didn’t
šŸ” and where AI genuinely helped or failed during capacity testing and troubleshooting.

šŸ—£ļø The session concludes with an open discussion on the practical role of AI in Performance Engineering today. Attendees are encouraged to share their own experiences - good or bad - using AI tools during performance testing or investigations.

šŸ‘Øā€šŸ« 20:00 – Networking

About Tech Talk...

Tech Talk aims to provide an in-person opportunity for like-minded people to come together with a shared aim in mind, this year being – Growth, development, elevation and tech, of course! We think that face-to-face interaction is better (call us old school), but we want to connect, inspire and empower, within a conversational environment where you can learn from the best. We believe bringing people together into one room provides the best setting for relationship building, and therefore offers the most opportunity for learning and development.
