Software Engineering Events in Madrid
This is the widest category on Brainberg, because software engineering itself spans a huge range of events: language user groups (Python, Rust, Go, TypeScript, Kotlin, Elixir, Ruby, Zig), framework communities (React, Svelte, Next.js, Vue, Laravel, Django, NixOS), backend architecture tracks, testing and QA tracks (ISTQB certification courses, mutation testing, test-automation workshops), refactoring and DDD circles, hackathons, and the long tail of "thoughtful engineering" meetups that don't fit neatly under any specific stack.
This page narrows the Madrid calendar to Software Engineering events. It's a subset of Spain's wider tech-event schedule, useful when you want something specific to go to in the city this month.
Madrid runs the second of Spain's two main tech-event scenes. The calendar leans toward fintech, AI-applied, enterprise software, and the fast-growing startup ecosystem, with a steady rhythm of Python, JavaScript, and DevOps meetups. South Summit each spring anchors the startup side of the year.

DevMad! Talks - November 2026
Madrid, 🇪🇸 Spain
Hello DevMadders! 👋
Join us as we delve into the creative side of computing for November’s DevMad Talks event! 🚀 This will be a full-circle moment for DevMad, as we’re really excited to announce that we’ll be hosted by Celonis, the site of the very first DevMad Talks event.
We’re excited to invite MH Rahmani – Researcher at i_mBodyLab – to talk with us, and answer the question: what happens when code becomes your medium for visual and sensory expression? Expect everything from interactive art, to an overview of the modern ecosystem.
After the presentation, join us for complementary food and drinks while we continue chatting all things Madrid tech community 🍕🥤
This is going to be a great event. We can’t wait to see you there!

🎙️ Talk Description
Speaker: MH. Rahmani – Researcher @ i_mBodyLab at UC3M
The Creative Side of Computing
What happens when code becomes your medium for visual and sensory expression? This talk introduces developers to the landscape of creative computing, mapping out how to shift from procedural paradigms for real-time render loops, node-based signal flow, and GPU-driven graphics.
Designed specifically for engineers, this session provides a high-level architectural overview, showing you how to leverage your existing technical skill set to start building interactive art, generative visuals, and expressive real-time systems.
We will demystify the modern ecosystem: from canvas-based code (p5.js, Processing, openFrameworks), to real-time node pipelines (TouchDesigner, VVVV), audio-visual patchers (Pure Data, Max MSP), and GLSL shaders. We’ll go over how cross-tool protocols like OSC/MIDI and shared GPU memory tie these systems together with hardware pipelines (Arduino / MicroPython) and spatial ecosystems (DMX / Projection Mapping).
