This course is necessary for everyone who wants access to the table saw at Bitraf - beginner and experienced users - to establish baseline knowledge & standards that everyone can expect of each other.

This course is very popular - be the person that signs up and takes the opportunity to join a course seriously. If you don't turn up, you take away the opportunity to learn from someone else. Book the time off in your calendar, even if you're on the waitlist. It is very common to get bumped up as the course date/time approaches.

Signing up to the waitlist means you take on the responsibility to check the event daily (even on the hours before the event) and the possibility to turn up at short notice. If you know it's likely you won't have the time anymore, please change your rsvp to 'no' as soon as you're aware.

The intention of the course is to develop safe working practices for the safety of you, others at Bitraf, and the machine. This is required knowledge that must put into use each time you use the table saw to be safe and excellent to each other.

YOU are responsible for yourself, Bitraf has no liability if you are injured.

The course starts in the course room for the theory part, then we move to the workshop.

Things to have ready for course:

• Dust Mask (buy in Bitmart if needed)
• Eye and Hearing protection (Bitraf has if you don't)
• A mind of giving what you have - time, an open mind, an attitude of learning/sharing

Upon completion of course you will have table saw access via the p2k16 ‘TOOLS’ system. This enables use of the machine to be logged.

This is not directly associated with the restaurant of the week, but rather based on a table reservation via Opentable or Resy or other online platforms. After you register, you'll be emailed an introduction message including a quick questionnaire regarding age, hobbies, interests, and dietary preferences.

I denne meetupen utforsker vi hvorfor teamstarter ofte ikke er nok, og hva som skal til for å bygge lag som faktisk lykkes over tid.

Meetupen blir fasilitert av Zia Sharshar og Caroline Rabe.

Zia og Caroline har begge mange års erfaring med å støtte team, ledere og organisasjoner i store virksomheter som Agile Coaches og Product Coaches. Gjennom arbeid med alt fra nyoppstartede team til etablerte produktområder har de sett hvordan noen team utvikler seg til å bli sterke, lærende og høytytende, mens andre gradvis mister energi, retning og samspill.

De har fulgt team tett gjennom både oppstarter, endringer, konflikter, vekst og krevende hverdager, og vet at godt samarbeid ikke skapes gjennom én workshop eller en vellykket teamstart alene. Med en kombinasjon av praktisk erfaring, observasjoner fra hundrevis av teaminteraksjoner og et genuint engasjement for hvordan mennesker lykkes sammen, inviterer de til en ærlig samtale om hva som faktisk skal til for å bygge team som fungerer over tid.

Vi serverer pizza fra 16:30 av, og setter i gang med meetup fra kl. 17:00. Vel møtt!

Getting comfortable with concepts

In this talk we will introduce a powerful new feature in C++20: Concepts.

Concepts are a way to specify requirements on template parameter types and to make templates more expressive and easier to understand.

30+ practical examples on how to:

• Use concepts to create "interfaces" for your template types
• Simplify your code instead of using SFINAE
• Display better error messages when a constraint is not satisfied
• ... and more!

Dimitris Platis

Dimitris works with embedded systems of all shapes and sizes running some kind of Linux, from Yocto to AOSP (Android). In the evenings he likes to tinker on open source projects (github.com/platisd) and blog about them.

Dimitris also offers C++ training courses for companies, with customers including large corporations from the automotive, semiconductor and defense sectors.

Bring your laptop and come hack on and learn some Rust with fellow Rustaceans at Kampen Bistro. We host these roughly every six weeks, so even if you miss one, just stop by the next!

There is no presentation or defined workshop, but if you are new to Rust and unsure where to start, we have some pointers to some good resources. And if you're more experienced and looking for something more complex to hack on, we have that too! And of course, since this is a social event, asking fellow meetup members for help or suggestions is very welcome. My favorite occurrence is when folks show up planning to hack on some code, and end up chatting to and working with the other random folks at their table all night instead!

Kampen has both drinks and (good) food, so in between lines of code there'll also be plenty of opportunity to socialize, exchange ideas and frustrations, and swap tricks for getting the most out of the language.

I dag skal vi sjå på ei verktøykasse som bygger bru mellom tradisjonelle dataformater og åpne standard formater og viser korleis du kan datamodellere en gang for så å generere forskjellige artefakter både på tradisjonelle formater og åpen standard formater fra samme modellen. På denne måten kan vi gi verktøystøtte for å løyse eksisterande behov knytta til applikasjons- og dataprodukter samtidig som vi gir støtte for å jobbe med kunnskapsprodukter og publisering til data.norge.no i henhold til nasjonale veiledere.
