Ontdek hoe je digitale HR slim en zorgeloos aanpakt met de nieuwste tools, data en regels in de praktijk.

Data en technologieën veranderen hoe Human Resources werkt: van werving en onboarding tot leren, performance en people analytics. Tegelijk groeit het aantal regels: GDPR, de EU AI Act, de Europese loontransparantierichtlijn en Belgische cao’s over nieuwe technologieën en monitoring. Hoe zet je technologie slim in zonder in juridische valkuilen te trappen?

In deze praktijkgerichte opleiding van één dag ontdek je welke toepassingen er vandaag zijn binnen elk HR-proces en waar hun kansen en risico’s liggen. Je krijgt een helder overzicht van de Europese en Belgische wetgeving, met de deadlines die er echt toe doen. In een workshop vertaal je dat naar een concreet actieplan voor je eigen organisatie. Je gaat naar huis met een checklist, sjablonen en drie acties voor de komende 90 dagen.

Doelgroep en leerdoelen

De opleiding richt zich op HR-managers, HR-business partners, HR-medewerkers en L&D-verantwoordelijken. Technische voorkennis is niet nodig.

Na de opleiding kunnen deelnemers:

1. de belangrijkste toepassingen van data en technologie in elk HR-proces benoemen en kritisch beoordelen;
2. de relevante Europese en Belgische wetgeving situeren, inclusief de timing;
3. concreet bepalen wat hun organisatie en HR-dienst nu moet doen.

• Een interactieve poll: welke tools gebruiken deelnemers al, en gebeurt dat met of zonder beleid?

9.30u > Module 1: Data en technologie in de HR-cyclus (90 min)
Per HR-proces, telkens met voorbeelden en een korte demo:

• Werving en selectie: vacatureteksten, CV-screening, matching, chatbots voor kandidaten
• Onboarding: digitale trajecten, AI-assistenten voor nieuwe medewerkers
• Leren en ontwikkeling: gepersonaliseerde leerpaden, skills mapping, AI-coaching
• Performance en talent: continue feedback, interne mobiliteit, opvolgingsplanning
• People analytics: verloop, verzuim, engagement, strategische personeelsplanning
• HR-administratie en payroll: automatisering, self-service, HR-chatbots
• Welzijn: signalen van werkdruk detecteren, en waar de ethische grens ligt

11.15u > Module 2: Randvoorwaarden voor verantwoord gebruik (45 min)

• Datakwaliteit en de HR-datahuishouding: welke data heb je, waar zitten ze, wie is eigenaar?
• Bias en discriminatie in algoritmes, met concrete voorbeelden
• De mens in de lus: wie neemt de uiteindelijke beslissing?
• Verandermanagement: medewerkers meenemen en vertrouwen opbouwen

12.45u > Module 3: Europees wetgevend kader (75 min)

EU AI Act.

• De AI Omnibus trad op 27 juli 2026 in werking als Verordening (EU) 2026/1744. Daardoor is de tijdlijn gewijzigd.
• Verboden praktijken gelden al sinds februari 2025. Voor HR gaat het onder meer om emotieherkenning op de werkvloer en social scoring.
• AI-geletterdheid is een verplichting die al loopt. Controleer wel de finale formulering na de Omnibus.
• Transparantie: de toepassingsdatum is 2 december 2026.
• Hoog-risico-AI treft HR rechtstreeks, want werving, promotie, ontslag, taakverdeling en monitoring vallen eronder. Voor deze systemen uit Bijlage III is de toepassing uitgesteld van 2 augustus 2026 naar 2 december 2027.
• De rol van HR als gebruiksverantwoordelijke (deployer) brengt eigen plichten mee: menselijk toezicht, gebruik volgens de instructies, logging, en werknemers informeren.

AVG/GDPR in de arbeidsrelatie.

• De juiste rechtsgrond: toestemming is in een arbeidsrelatie zelden geldig.
• De DPIA.
• Geautomatiseerde besluitvorming (artikel 22).
• Bewaartermijnen en de rechten van werknemers.

Europese loontransparantierichtlijn.

• België vroeg op 1 juni 2026 aan de Europese Commissie 6 maanden extra tijd voor de omzetting.
• Voor de privésector gelden er vandaag nog geen afdwingbare verplichtingen of sancties. Die komen er zodra de Belgische omzetting in werking treedt.
• Bij een geschil met een overheidswerkgever kunnen werknemers zich wél rechtstreeks op de richtlijn beroepen.

Kort aangestipt:

• De platformwerkrichtlijn: de regels rond algoritmisch management.
• NIS2: de rol van HR in cyberbewustzijn en toegangsbeheer.
• De Data Act.

14u > Module 4: Belgisch kader (45 min)

• Cao 39: informatie en overleg bij de invoering van nieuwe technologieën.
• Cao 81: controle op elektronische communicatie.
• Cao 68: camerabewaking.
• Recht op deconnectie, klokkenluiderswetgeving en het arbeidsreglement.
• De rol van de overlegorganen: ondernemingsraad, CPBW en vakbondsafvaardiging. Wanneer moet je hen betrekken?

14.45u > Pauze

15u > Module 5: Van wetgeving naar actie, als workshop (75 min)
In groepjes werken deelnemers een realistische case uit, bijvoorbeeld de invoering van een AI-tool voor selectie of een people-analyticsdashboard. Ze gebruiken daarvoor een to-do-lijst voor organisaties en HR-diensten:

1. Een inventaris van alle digitale tools en AI-toepassingen in HR, ook de onofficiële
2. Een risicoclassificatie volgens de AI Act
3. Kritische vragen aan leveranciers
4. Een DPIA waar nodig
5. Een AI-beleid en gebruiksrichtlijnen voor medewerkers
6. Een opleidingsplan voor AI-geletterdheid
7. Het overleg met de sociale partners
8. Governance: wie is eigenaar en wie beslist?
9. Loondata en functieclassificatie op orde brengen voor loontransparantie
10. Een roadmap met tijdlijn: nu, vóór eind 2026 en vóór eind 2027

16.15u > Afsluiting (15 min)
Elke deelnemer noteert drie concrete acties voor de komende 90 dagen. Daarna volgt de evaluatie.

Over de trainers

Deze opleiding brengt twee werelden samen. Els kent de operationele en HR-praktijk van binnenuit. Sarah Van Veen combineert een juridische achtergrond met technische expertise. Samen tonen ze je hoe je technologie slim inzet én wat de regels daarbij van je vragen.

Els Meyvaert
Els is founder van The COO's Design Table. Ze helpt organisaties al jaren om slimmer te werken met data en technologie. Ze werkte in academische instellingen, bij Belgische, Amerikaanse en Japanse corporates en bij snelgroeiende tech-startups. Daar bouwde ze operationele teams en processen op en kreeg ze grondige kennis van het Belgische juridische, fiscale en HR-kader.

Sinds 2017 is ze gastdocent aan onder meer Vlerick, Solvay, Erasmushogeschool Brussel en UCLL. Momenteel volgt ze de postgraduaatopleiding Onderwijstechnoloog aan UCLL. Els vertaalt complexe technologie naar concrete, toepasbare stappen, met één motto: “All knowledge is worth having.”

Sarah Van Veen
Sarah werkte zes jaar als (fiscaal) advocaat bij een internationaal advocatenkantoor. Ze kent dus zowel de complexiteit van juridische vraagstukken als de noden van mensen uit de praktijk. Als Belgisch lead van EY’s juridisch innovatieprogramma Tech 4 Law werkte ze samen met legal tech-leveranciers en verkende ze oplossingen met automatisering en generatieve AI. Om recht en technologie nog beter te verbinden, werkt ze nu ook nog een bachelor toegepaste informatica af.

Vandaag is Sarah business analyst bij Wolters Kluwer, een internationaal bedrijf in juridische en fiscale software. Daar vertaalt ze juridische en fiscale vereisten naar softwareoplossingen. Via haar werk, persoonlijke projecten en hackathons doet ze praktijkervaring op met het ontwerpen en testen van GenAI-toepassingen voor juridisch onderzoek, documentgeneratie en analyse. Sarah bouwt bruggen tussen juridische regels en technologie die in de praktijk werkt.

Om de kwaliteit te waarborgen, is de groepsgrootte vastgesteld op maximaal 25 personen.

Lightning talks

We start off with lightning talks, where you can give a 5-7 minute presentation about something cool you want to share. These are usually rather informal, so don't worry if you've never done this before - this is a great opportunity to give a talk in a friendly environment.

The Open Space itself

We have a couple of rooms where 30 minute sessions are run in parallel. A session can be an informal discussion in comfy chairs, a demo or presentation, practicing katas together, or anything in between. There are no requirements for you before you can join a session - just bring yourself, an open mind and your opinions.
Before the Open Space starts, anyone can suggest sessions about something they want to learn about. Whether you're an expert on some topic, or you're just getting your feet wet, the only requirement to run a session is that you're there to host it.

Join us for Feeding the Future Gent, an immersive two-day hackathon exclusively for girls aged 14 to 19. This isn't just about learning; it's about doing. You'll tackle real-world food security and safety challenges alongside actual scientists, and then build and pitch your tech solutions live to a festival audience.

Because when girls hold the laptops and design the solutions, the future of food changes for everyone.

Suspend, Sandbox, Scale: Kubernetes for the Agentic Era
Steven Trescinski, Gluo
AI agents don't fit the "one workload, one pod" model. They sit idle most of the time, wake up for a tool call that needs an answer in milliseconds, and often run code an LLM just wrote. That wastes compute, strains the control plane, and turns every agent into a new attack surface in your cluster. This talk explores a new wave of open source projects that add an agent-aware layer on top of Kubernetes. These projects snapshot idle agents, pack thousands of them onto a small pool of isolated workers, and resume them in under a second. In a live demo, we'll look at how it works, how it keeps untrusted agent code contained, and where the gaps still are.

The HAMi Project. How to slice a gpu!

Most clusters waste their GPUs: one pod, one card, mostly idle. HAMi, a CNCF incubating project, slices a GPU by memory and compute and enforces the limits at runtime. I'll go under the hood: how the pieces fit, how isolation actually works, and when slicing is the right call.
👤 Bio: From pulling Ethernet cables as a student in France to becoming a Golden Kubestronaut, I have spent 10 years learning the stack from the ground up. Now a Cloud Native Expert with 15 CNCF certifications, I focus on SRE and infrastructure architecture. Hacking Browsers: The Easy Way

When you think of hacking browsers, you perhaps think of V8 heap exploitation, deep-dive fuzzing, crazy sandbox escapes, and so on. But what if I told you that you can still find vulnerabilities in major browsers that don't require any technical knowledge? Bugs you can even run into by accident!
In this talk, I'll take you through my journey of how I "accidentally" found a vulnerability in Google Chrome. And how that led me to find more vulnerabilities in Chrome as well as some vulnerabilities in Mozilla Firefox and many more bugs in other products.
