CoderDojo organiseert gratis programmeerclubs, de zogenaamde "Dojo's". Op die Dojo's leren meisjes en jongens programmeren, websites maken, apps en spelletjes ontwikkelen zich. Ze ontmoeten gelijkgestemde deelnemers en laten elkaar zien veroorzaakt ze werkte hebben. CoderDojo maakt van ontwikkelen en programmeren een superleuke, keigezellige en megatoffe leerervaring.

Dojo's worden op vrijwillige basis opgezet en gerund door vrijwilligers. En met zijn coaches met voldoende ICT-kennis en de juiste drive om jongeren te coachen. Anderzijds hebben we ook koks die de praktische organisatie van de Dojo op zich nemen. CoderDojo legt sterk de nadruk op open source en vrije software. De beweging heeft een snel groeiend netwerk van leden en vrijwilligers wereldwijd. CoderDojo wilt aan iedereen tonen dat programmeren niet enkel voor nerds is. Onze coders bouwen super leuke projecten en zijn daarom het voorbeeld bij uitstek dat technologie tof kan zijn. CoderDojo heeft daarom maar één regel: "Boven alles: wees cool!".

Praktische informatie

Je kan deelnemen vanaf 7 tot 18 jaar. Ben je jonger dan 12 jaar dan word je het best begeleid door (een van) je ouders. Je ouders hoeven niet de hele tijd aanwezig te zijn, maar moeten wel in de buurt blijven zodat we hen kunnen contacteren. We waarderen het als ouders een halfuur voor het einde van de Dojo terugkeren om het toonmoment mee te maken en de vrijwilligers achteraf wat te helpen bij het opruimen.

Je dient te beschikken over een laptop. De coaches zullen ervoor zorgen dat alle benodigde software zal worden van zullen je vooraf laten weten als je iets specifieks nodig hebt. Heb je echt geen laptop, geef dit aan en dan zal CoderDojo proberen een draagbare computer te voorzien.

Registreren & annuleren

Het inschrijvingsformulier zal belangrijkste persoonlijke gegevens verzamelen over de deelnemer. In enkele gevallen zal ook aanvullende informatie over de ouder / voogd worden gevraagd, en dat zal dan ook expliciet vermeld worden. We vragen bij de inschrijving aan alle deelnemers om een ​​e-mailadres en telefoonnummer van de ouders van voogd op te geven. Indien nodig zal CoderDojo rechtstreeks contact opnemen met de ouders van voogd.

We waarderen het dat deelnemers de tijd nemen om hun bestelling actueel te houden, en als je niet aanwezig kan zijn, is het gemakkelijk om jouw inschrijving te annuleren vanuit jouw Eventbrite account. Meld je aan bij Eventbrite.com, ga naar de pagina tickets, en zoek uw bestelling. Klik op jouw bestelling om gedetailleerde informatie te bekijken, en selecteer vervolgens "Order annuleren" om uw inschrijving te annuleren. Je zal een e-mail ontvangen om de annulering te bevestigen. Blijkt dat niet meteen te lukken, dan kan je ons altijd contacteren via aarschot@coderdojobelgium.be.

Trajecten

Er zijn verschillende trajecten (Scratch, Python en Robotica) waaraan je kan deelnemen. Als je nog helemaal geen ervaring hebt, start je best met Scratch.

CoderDojo is leuk en daarom tonen wij graag waar we mee bezig zijn. We nemen tijdens onze activiteiten foto's van onze deelnemers en begeleiders die we daarna op sociale media plaatsen. Het kan gebeuren dat je zoon of dochter daarom gefotografeerd van gefilmd wordt tijdens een CoderDojo activiteit. Wij gebruiken dit beeldmateriaal niet op flyers van voor uitvoerige campagnes zonder hiervoor nog eens expliciet toestemming te vragen. Indien je liever wilt dat geen foto's van je soort gebruikt worden, kan je dat tijdens het registreren aangeven.

À propos de CoderDojo

CoderDojo organise des clubs de programmation gratuits, qu’on appelle « Dojo ». Lors de ces Dojos, filles et garçons apprennent à programmer, à créer des sites web et à développer des applications et des jeux. Ils y rencontrent leurs pairs et présentent aux autres leurs projets. CoderDojo a pour objectif de rendre la programmation amusante, cool et formidable durant cette expérience d’apprentissage.

Les dojos sont mis en place et animés par des bénévoles. La plupart de nos coaches ont une grande expertise en ICT et orientent aussi les coaches plus jeunes. Ils assistent et aident nos petits programmeurs dans leurs projets. Nos cooks sont notre précieuse main d’œuvre derrière toute cette organisation. Ils sont en charge de tout l’aspect pratique et organisationnel.

CoderDojo se base sur des logiciels open-source et gratuits. Le mouvement connaît une croissance rapide de son réseau de participants et de bénévoles dans le monde entier.

CoderDojo veut montrer au monde que programmer ce n’est pas seulement pour les nerds. Nos programmeurs peuvent construire des projets incroyables, ils sont l’exemple parfait qui prouve que la technologie peut être amusante. C’est pourquoi CoderDojo n’a qu’une règle : « Above all : be cool ! »

Informations pratiques

Tu dois avoir entre 7 et 18 ans pour y participer. Il est préférable que les participants en dessous de 10 ans soient encadrés par un parent. Les parents ne doivent pas être présents pendant le dojo mais ils doivent rester dans les alentours au cas où nous devrions les contacter. Nous préférons que les parents reviennent une demi-heure avant la fin de l’activité afin qu’ils soient présents pour la démonstration et qu’ils puissent échanger avec les bénévoles ainsi que leur donner un petit coup de main pour le rangement du Dojo.

Il faut apporter son ordinateur portable pour pouvoir participer. Les coaches s’assureront que tous les logiciels nécessaires sont bien installés ou s’il faut à l’avance ils te diront s’il faut prévoir quelque chose de plus spécifique. Si tu n’as pas d’ordinateur portable, précise-le et CoderDojo essaiera de t’en prêter un.

Inscription & Annulation

Le formulaire d’inscription reprend, dans un premier temps, les données personnelles du participant. Si l’information demandée concerne les parents ou les tuteurs cela sera spécifiquement mentionné. Au moment de l’inscription, nous demandons à tous les participants de communiquer l’email et le numéro de téléphone d’un de ses parents ou tuteurs afin que CoderDojo puisse directement les contacter.

Nous demandons aux personnes inscrites à une session de bien vouloir annuler leur réservation à temps en cas d’empêchement. Il est très facile d’annuler l’inscription via votre compte Eventbrite. Il suffit de se connecter à eventbrite.com, aller sur la page Ticket, et chercher la réservation. Puis en cliquant sur la réservation, tu accèdes aux détails de ton inscription, sélectionnes ensuite « Annuler la réservation » pour annuler ton enregistrement. Tu recevras un email de confirmation. Si tu rencontres quelques soucis pour annuler ton billet, préviens-nous via lln@coderdojobelgium.be.

Parcours

Dans la plupart des Dojos tu peux participer à plusieurs parcours. Si tu n’as pas d’expérience, nous te conseillons de commencer par Scratch.

Nous aimons promotionner notre action à travers les réseaux sociaux et pour ce faire nous prenons des photos pendant nos événements.

Sachez que votre enfant pourrait être photographié ou filmé lors de sa participation à un dojo. Ces photos sont ensuite postées et partagées sur nos réseaux sociaux. Celles-ci ne sont pas imprimées, et ne figurent pas sur nos brochures. Si toutes fois, quelques photos devaient servir à des fins de campagnes promotionnelles plus étendues, nous vous demanderons bien sûr votre accord avant diffusion.

This workshop series is a follow-up to the ESP32 Robotics workshop, but with a different concept. Here, there will be no subject set in advance, instead all participants are welcome to join at any point and at any level, from beginner to expert. Beginners will be guided though the basics (C programming, how to use measurement tools, soldering, PCB design, etc…) and can get advice on what tools and kits to start with, others can come with their own projects to get help or share some knowledge.

• Bring your own laptop (Windows, Linux or Mac)
• Any microcontroller/dev kit to develop your project(s). If you are a beginner and don’t know what to buy, come and we’ll find the best starter kit for you !
• A strong desire to learn stuff, good mood and some patience !

We will make teams of 2 people and swap teams regularly so you also get to know how others think and stay focused.

CoderDojo De Sivry est un dojo affilié à CoderDojo Belgique.

CoderDojo organise des clubs de programmation gratuits, appelés « Dojos ». Dans ces Dojos, filles et garçons apprennent à programmer, à créer des sites web, à développer des applications et des jeux, et bien plus encore. Ils y rencontrent d'autres participants partageant les mêmes centres d'intérêt et partagent leurs créations. CoderDojo rend le développement et la programmation extrêmement ludiques, conviviaux et passionnants.

Les Dojos sont créés et gérés par des bénévoles. Parmi eux on trouve possédant des animateurs bénévoles qui ont connaissances en informatique et la motivation nécessaire pour accompagner les jeunes. Nous avons également des bénévoles qui s'occupent de l'organisation pratique du Dojo. CoderDojo met fortement l'accent sur les logiciels libres et open source. Le mouvement bénéficie d'un réseau de membres et de bénévoles en pleine expansion à travers le monde. CoderDojo souhaite montrer à tous que la programmation n'est pas réservée aux geeks. Nos codeurs réalisent des projets fantastiques et sont ainsi la preuve que la technologie peut être formidable. Tous nos supports sont disponibles gratuitement, et de nouveaux thèmes, langages ou technologies sont introduits à la demande des membres du club.

Informations pratiques

Vous pouvez participer si vous avez entre 7 et 18 ans. Savoir lire couramment est indispensable.

Nos coachs vous accompagnent individuellement, selon vos besoins. Nous encourageons également les jeunes à s'entraider autant que possible, car c'est enrichissant pour tous. La présence d'un parent est appréciée lors de la première séance ; elle n'est pas obligatoire pour les suivantes, mais cela dépendra bien sûr de l'enfant. Et c'est formidable pour les enfants de montrer à leurs parents leurs créations à la fin de la séance.

Vous aurez à disposition des ordinateurs au sein du local EPN de la commune . Les coachs s'assureront que tous les logiciels nécessaires sont installés ou vous indiqueront à l'avance si vous avez besoin de quelque chose de spécifique. .

Inscription et annulation

Le formulaire d'inscription recueille principalement des informations personnelles sur le participant. Dans certains cas, des informations complémentaires concernant le parent ou le tuteur seront également demandées, et cela sera clairement indiqué. The ultimate pitch event for early-stage tech start-ups. Ten start-ups will have the chance to pitch their innovative ideas.

SPARK! is a pitch event specifically aimed at early-stage tech start-ups. Ten start-ups will have the opportunity to pitch their innovative ideas to an audience of 60 participants:

Corporate Innovators, Seed-Stage Investors, Corporate Buyers, CTOs, Professionals

SPARK! offers a unique opportunity to get to know tech start-ups better. The start-ups are selected from the five Flemish provinces.

The fourth edition of the SPARK! session will take place on Wednesday 24 June from 4 pm to 8 pm, followed by drinks and snacks

10 start-ups offering tech solutions in the fields of defence & (cyber) security. They have a product with market fit and are specifically looking for market validation, customers or funding.

SPARK! offers you the chance to get to know 10 start-ups better during a 7-minute pitch and a Q&A session.

Are you professionally interested in defence & (cyber) security as a corporate innovator, an SME manager or an investor / VC? Be sure to come and discover these top-class initiatives.

Participation costs €117 – if you are part of Hubs4Growth (resident or member of Hangar K, Limburg Startup/LRM incubator network, The Beacon, Wintercircus or Leuven MindGate), you can participate for free.

As political momentum behind youth online safety accelerates across Europe, the question is no longer whether age assurance will become part of the digital ecosystem, but how it will be implemented—and where responsibility should sit. With the EU age verification app advancing and Member States launching their own initiatives, attention is shifting beyond age checks toward broader safety-by-design measures and more effective youth protection online.

In this session, we will explore the practical realities of building youth protection infrastructure—from the relationship between the verification layer and the safety-by-design layer, to the question of how responsibility is shared across public and private actors. The discussion will bring together regulators, industry, and safety experts to consider what's working, what's uncertain, and where the critical decisions lie in 2026.

De media- en audiovisuele sector digitaliseert in een razend tempo. Dat biedt enorme kansen voor contentcreatie en distributie, maar brengt ook complexe veiligheidsrisico's met zich mee. De intrede van de NIS2-wetgeving heeft de afgelopen tijd veel in beweging gezet. Maar hoe verloopt de implementatie hiervan nu echt in de praktijk, en wat kunnen we leren van de eerste ervaringen?

Op dinsdag 25 juni nodigen wij u graag uit voor een exclusief event, speciaal gericht op de security-uitdagingen binnen de media- en AV-wereld. Tijdens deze sessie maken we samen de balans op.

Tijdens dit event laten we de droge theorie voor wat het is en focussen we op de dagelijkse realiteit.
We bespreken de belangrijkste learnings en valkuilen rondom NIS2-compliance, incidentenrapportage en het bouwen van een veerkrachtige IT-infrastructuur (resilience & recovery).

Daarnaast gaan we in op uitdagingen die specifiek zijn voor onze sector.

From unknown and raw to real value
In this talk, Chris shares how he transformed a legacy log ingestion pipeline into a structured, scalable, and insight-ready ELK-based system. Starting from loosely indexed XML/SOAP logs with minimal configuration, the project required rebuilding the data model to handle multiple message types, complex nested structures, and inconsistent field representations.

Without the luxury of a full upfront redesign, Chris adopted an iterative, data-driven approach: combining exploratory analysis with dynamic mapping strategies to progressively shape the data into a usable format. He will discuss how this led to the design of flexible ingestion pipelines, including XML parsing, normalization, and generic handling of heterogeneous payloads.

The talk also covers practical techniques for managing sensitive data, reducing storage overhead, and improving query performance—such as selective data retention, hashing and fingerprinting strategies, and the use of data streams. Finally, Chris will touch on how structuring the data effectively enables higher-level capabilities like anomaly detection and automated alerting.

This session is aimed at practitioners dealing with messy, real-world data and looking for pragmatic ways to make Elasticsearch pipelines more robust, maintainable, and valuable.

Bios
Christoph Evers is a Senior Data Scientist and Data Engineer based in Brussels, with over 15 years of experience in data systems, search technologies, and analytics. He has been working with Elasticsearch since its early days, contributing to the project between 2010 and 2012 and applying it extensively as a search engine, document store, and log ingestion platform.
At OpenLex, he designs and builds advanced data solutions for legal research, including full-text search engines, NLP pipelines for entity detection and anonymization, and large-scale analytics systems. His work also includes operating and optimizing ELK-based observability stacks in Linux and Docker environments.
Previously, Chris held roles spanning software engineering, data science, and R&D leadership across sectors such as social media analytics, mobility and market research. His experience combines hands-on engineering with business-oriented data applications, delivering scalable systems and actionable insights for both startups and multinational clients. He mainly focuses on search relevance, data observability, and the practical use of ELK in production environments.
