An experimental, arts-based workshop exploring nuclear energy, disagreement and the futures we imagine for Denmark. No expertise required.

It brings together questions of climate, technology, risk, responsibility and the futures we imagine.

TensionLab is an experimental research workshop exploring what happens when people with different perspectives enter that tension together.

Through creative, embodied, and arts-based activities, we’ll explore the thoughts, emotions and reactions surrounding nuclear energy. You might write, move, listen, reflect or create something together with others.

There is no position you need to defend and no consensus we need to reach.

The idea is to stay with the tension — and see what becomes possible.

Anyone who is curious.

You might be strongly pro-nuclear, strongly against it, somewhere in between, or completely undecided. No knowledge of nuclear energy or artistic experience is needed. We’re looking for people willing to experiment and engage with perspectives different from their own.

The workshop is in-person and lasts around 3 hours, followed by dinner and drinks. It will be held in English, and Danish is very welcome.

TensionLab is a research project organized by Mobilizing Post-Anthropocentric Climate Action (PACA - https://www.sdu.dk/da/paca) at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) exploring how creative methods can help us navigate polarized societal questions.
