Umbraco AI Hackathon i Odense
Odense, 🇩🇰 Denmark
Navigating the Cloud in 2026 - Sovereignty, Costs, and Smart Tradeoffs
Odense, 🇩🇰 Denmark
We have 2 very relevant topics this night:
1. Sovereign Cloud & Avoiding Vendor Lock-in
With the majority of European cloud infrastructure still running on non-European providers, data sovereignty is no longer just a compliance checkbox - it's a strategic risk. We'll explore why this matters now more than ever, what "sovereign cloud" actually means in practice, and how to navigate towards more resilient, portable architectures without starting from scratch. The goal: reduce dependency on any single provider without reinventing the wheel.
2. Cloud Cost Management
Cloud bills keep growing, but aggressive cost-cutting can quietly undermine performance and reliability. We'll look at practical approaches to finding the right balance - where to optimize, where not to cut corners, and how to build a cost-awareness culture in your team without creating friction.
