Tech Events in Berlin

Berlin runs one of the densest tech-event calendars in Europe. The scene is distinctively community-driven: a large share of the city's meetups run in English, many of them out of independent spaces rather than corporate offices, and the rhythm is nightly rather than monthly. Rust, Go, Python, TypeScript, and the growing applied-AI community are all particularly strong, alongside deep traditions in hacker culture (the Chaos Computer Club's Berlin chapter), privacy, and open source.

On the conference side, the city hosts re:publica, Data Natives, AI Engineer Summit EU offshoots, a fleet of European KubeCon satellite events, and the annual Chaos Communication Congress in the winter. Startup and founder content runs in parallel across spaces like Factory, Betahaus, and the various accelerator-run venues, with Slush satellites and TechCrunch events passing through.

The session will last around 2 hours, followed by a networking session with dida and fellow AI enthusiasts (and free pizza!🍕). Bring your laptop!

Abstract: Nearly every cancer diagnosis still begins with a pathologist examining a stained tissue slide under a microscope. Digital pathology turns those slides into gigapixel images — and with them, a uniquely demanding frontier for machine learning. But getting from raw pixels to clinically meaningful, quantitative insight about a tumor and its microenvironment is far from trivial.
In this workshop, Aignostics — a computational pathology company and Charité spin-off — walks you along the arc from core ML research to real-world application. We start with an overview of digital pathology and what makes it challenging for ML (gigapixel images, scarce labels, scanner and staining variability). We then look at how pathology foundation models are built and what separates a good one from a fragile one — not just accuracy, but robustness to non-biological artifacts — with a short hands-on segment. Finally, we put these models to work: with Atlas H&E-TME we profile the tumor microenvironment from routine H&E slides, and you'll get hands-on with OpenTME — an open dataset of TME profiles across five cancer types from TCGA — and TME Studio to run your own analyses.

⚡ FINAL REMINDER ⚡
You MUST register and be approved on Luma to attend. The event location will only be visible after your registration is confirmed by the host. Link: https://luma.com/zzuvu98h?utm_source=meetup

AWS Women's User Group Berlin: June Event - AI Agents in Production

Berlin, 🇩🇪 Germany

The AWS Women’s User Group Berlin is thrilled to invite you to our upcoming meetup sponsored by Storm Reply focused on Building production-ready AI agents for real-world impact.

Join us for a deep dive into how to build, observe, and evaluate AI agents at scale. You’ll also see how these ideas come to life in a real-world climate-smart agriculture solution that turns weather forecasts into actionable field guidance. Whether you’re building agentic systems today or planning what comes next, this meetup will give you practical insights into making AI agents work in production.

Speaker Info

Keynote Talk

Speaker: Tetiana Senna
Position: Team Lead / Senior Project Manager, Storm Reply
Talk Title: Trust, but Verify: Observability and Evaluations for AWS Agents
Abstract: Getting an AI agent to work in a demo is easy. Knowing whether it still works in production - after the next prompt change, the next model upgrade, the next edge case - is the hard part. Unit tests don't cover non-deterministic behavior, and manually reviewing a handful of runs doesn't scale.
This talk walks through the two practices that close that gap: observability (understanding what actually happened inside your agent) and evaluation (deciding whether the outcome was any good). We'll dig into Amazon Bedrock AgentCore's Observability and Evaluations capabilities, compare the proven evaluation approaches - built-in LLM-as-a-Judge evaluators for automatic quality monitoring, and custom evaluators for business-specific correctness checks - with a candid look at what each one is good for, where it falls short, and what it costs to run at scale. We'll also take a close look at AgentCore Optimization, AWS's newly previewed feature in this space.

Applied Agentic AI Talk

Speaker: Vidhu Mitra Malladi
Position: Senior Software Engineer, Yara Digital Farming
Talk Title: Weather Risk Intelligence Agent for farmers & Agronomist
Abstract: Unpredictable weather events — heavy rainfall, drought, frost, and heatwaves pose significant risk to crop yield and fertilizer efficiency. While forecast data is widely available, it is rarely translated into timely; field-level guidance farmers can act upon.
Using AWS AgentCore framework and AI capabilities, we can turn weather predictions into clear agronomic actions, supporting climate-smart agriculture at scale.

You'l learn:

  • Implementation of the solution using AWS Agent Core framework
  • Architecture of the project.

🗓️ Event Details:

Deploy Human Intelligence: AI Sovereignty Needs Women in the Room

Berlin, 🇩🇪 Germany

net4tec Women's Lounge at GITEX Europe Berlin

✨ Deploy Human Intelligence: Why Europe's AI Sovereignty Starts with Women in the Room

An exclusive net4tec side event at GITEX AI Europe · Berlin · 1st July 2026 · 11AM–1PM

The situation is urgent. The stakes are real.

The economic, political and social landscape is under pressure. Many people are genuinely worried about their jobs and their future — and rightly so. AI is transforming professions at a speed that almost nobody predicted. Women make up 86% of workers both highly exposed to AI job loss and least able to adapt to it. More than 56% of women in tech are projected to leave the field before reaching mid-career milestones.

And yet Europe is going all in. Europe's tech spending exceeds €1.5 trillion in 2026, driven by AI, cloud and a renewed push for digital sovereignty. But the EU accounts for only 4.8% of global AI compute — compared to 74.4% for the US and 14.1% for China. Europe is investing massively to lead. But there is a structural blind spot that nobody is talking about loudly enough: women represent just 22% of the AI workforce globally, and for every 100 men promoted to manager, only 87 women make the same step — a gap that compounds at every level all the way to the C-suite.

Europe cannot build AI sovereignty while leaving half its talent on the table. This is the conversation we are here to have.

Deploy Human Intelligence

is a 2-hour interactive lounge by net4tec × GITEX AI Europe — designed for women, founders, and decision-makers who are ready to act, not just watch.

As a participant, you receive a complimentary GITEX AI Europe day pass — giving you full access to one of Europe's most influential tech summits: keynotes, exhibitions, and networking throughout the day.

🌍 What to expect:
  • High-energy panel discussions on why Europe's AI sovereignty depends on deploying all its talent — starting with women.
  • Take the Stage — every participant is an expert. Step into the spotlight, share your story, your challenge, or your boldest idea. No audience. No hierarchy. Just voices that matter.
  • Hands-on group challenges that turn insights into action — you'll map gaps, generate ideas, and commit to your next concrete step.
  • Purposeful networking by design — a structured format that connects you with founders, investors, tech leaders and policy experts in the room.
  • Live key learnings and testimonials from peers who, just like you, are shaping Europe's digital future from the inside.
🌍 Your Key Learning and Take Aways

You will leave with:

  • A clear understanding of which new roles are emerging right now at the intersection of AI, policy and leadership
  • Your personal positioning as a woman, founder or decision-maker in the AI era
  • At least 3 new meaningful contacts — made through structured, purposeful networking
  • One concrete next step you've committed to — written down, shared, held accountable
🎤 Call for Speakers — We want YOUR voice on stage.

Are you a woman leader, founder, or expert at the intersection of AI, technology, and leadership? We are looking for bold voices to join our panels and Take the Stage moments.

GITEX AI Europe is one of the most influential technology summits in Europe. Our curated panel and program is reserved for voices that have earned their place — and for net4tec premium members, that place is on stage.

As a premium member, you have the exclusive opportunity to join our expert panel and Take the Stage in front of an international audience of founders, investors, and decision-makers. Not as a speaker. As a recognized expert in your field.

There is no faster way to build visibility, credibility, and connections in Europe's AI ecosystem than standing on this stage. This is what instant recognition as a leader looks like.

Share your story. Inspire the room. Shape the conversation.

Three truths that drive this event:

1. Human First must be the future. We cannot forget why we build technology: for people. AI must not replace human expertise — it must amplify it. Scale creativity. Give people the freedom to make better decisions. Technology that is not built with humans at the center is not built for the future.

2. Pessimism is a waste of time. Europe often talks innovation into the ground before it has even started. But the evidence is clear: European AI leadership is not a dream — it is already happening. We are here to build on that momentum, not wait for permission.

3. The future needs different skills. We are moving away from the classic T-shaped profile toward the M-profile: people who connect multiple fields of expertise — strategy, technology, creativity, data, communication. Flexibility, interdisciplinary thinking, and the ability to bridge complexity instead of working in silos. Analytics, AI and machine learning are already the leading area of interest for women in tech, topping the list at 41%. These are the skills the AI era demands. And they are exactly the skills women have been building all along.

Everyone is welcome - come as your are!

We are looking forward to an inspiring and interactive event with all of you where diversity is not only a buzzword but becomes real by personal experience and perspectives.

July Meetup: Hearables and assistive technologies

Berlin, 🇩🇪 Germany

On the 1st of July we will host the next iteration of our monthly Audio Developer Meetup where Peggy Sylopp from sinceare will be presenting her work on personalization approaches for hearables. See below for details! There will be a second short talk, yet to be anounced.

As always, there will be a chance to network over drinks and pizza. Anyone interested in Audio development is welcome!

Doors open at 18:00, talks start at 18:15.

Please note: Attendance is strictly limited to people who have RSVP'd.

Talk details:
Can users train their own audio system? - Peggy Sylopp
In this talk, we present Sinceare’s closed-loop personalization approach for hearables. Instead of relying on predefined fitting rules or static presets, users teach the system how it should sound through interaction and feedback. These preferences are transformed into personalized machine-learning models that learn how to control existing audio processing algorithms according to individual preferences.

Rather than replacing audio DSP algorithms, the generated models act as an adaptive control layer that continuously adjusts algorithm parameters based on user-specific listening preferences.

Based on more than eight years of research and a recent study conducted with Fraunhofer IDMT and Charité, we will share insights into user-driven audio model generation, human-in-the-loop machine learning, and the path from research prototype to future embedded hearable deployment.

Christoph Ebeling
Running K8s with AI: Automating the SRE Lifecycle with Grafana MCP and GitLab
What does it look like to run 30+ microservices, 8 databases, and a Kafka cluster almost entirely through AI agents? This talk walks through a practical demo of automating the full SRE lifecycle: from incident investigation to deployment validation, using Grafana MCP and the GitLab Agent Platform, and where humans still need to stay in the loop.

Serhii Vasylenko
The Pipeline Was Green — AI Agents and CI Trust
We’ve spent years building CI/CD pipelines that tell us when code is "technically correct," but are they capable of telling an autonomous AI agent if a change is safe to apply? This talk explores a real-world incident where an AI-powered automation -- pairing Renovate with Claude Code -- successfully executed a "green" pipeline that broke a critical QA cluster for three days, how the team reacted, and how we evolved our vision toward the future of human-agentic collaboration with code.

Frithjof Hoffmann
Managing Uninvited Guests: Securing Open Source Dependencies
Open source software is the ultimate neighborhood party, but what happens when an uninvited guest slips through the door? This talk digs into the messy reality of dependency hell and its role in software supply chain security: from typosquatting attacks to maintainer account takeovers, and the abandoned projects with known CVEs quietly living in your codebase rent-free.
