Beim nächsten ScaDS.AI Meetup am 10. November 2026 widmen wir uns dem Thema KI in der Psychologie. Drei Kurzvorträge geben Einblicke in aktuelle Forschungsarbeiten, konkrete Projekte und praktische Anwendungen – von KI-gestützten Ansätzen im psychologischen Kontext über digitale Unterstützungssysteme bis hin zur automatisierten Emotionserkennung.

Gemeinsam mit Forschenden, Entwickler:innen, Studierenden und Interessierten möchten wir aktuelle Entwicklungen diskutieren, Erfahrungen austauschen und mögliche Anknüpfungspunkte für neue Projekte und Kooperationen entdecken.
Im Anschluss bleibt wie immer ausreichend Zeit für Diskussionen, Networking und offenen Austausch.

Abstract
Following up on Ted's introductory Event Sourcing talk, this Ted Talk dives deeper into how to use the Event Modeling diagramming method to design application features. After getting everyone up to speed on the basic terminology of Event Sourcing, we'll see how to diagram and implement different kinds of "read models" (customized views of application state) for different purposes.

We'll also look at diagramming and implementing two different kinds of automations, also known as Processors: Actuators, which respond to specific events by triggering new Commands, and Translators, that turn internal private events into external integration (or collaboration) events that can be sent to other systems or Bounded Contexts.

We'll finish by looking at some Event Migration techniques for dealing with the inevitable changes to the way events are stored when they need to hold new information, or the same information, but in a different format.

Our speaker Ted M. Young:
Ted M. Young (he/him) is a Java trainer, coding coach, speaker, and author. He’s been in software development for over 30 years, teaching and coding in Java since the 1.0 beta, and doing eXtreme Programming since 2000.

Ted has worked for eBay, Google, Apple, and Guidewire Software. He is now an independent educator, helping those new to the industry and experienced folks increase their joy in coding by making code more testable.

Ted’s favorite techniques are test-driven development, refactoring, domain-driven design, and testable architectures, such as Hexagonal Architecture and Event-Sourcing.

Everlock is a self-hosted Rust application built around a simple idea: application data lives in Git repositories.
Instead of exposing Git directly, Everlock puts adapters around that common storage model. Some speak protocols such as SMTP, IMAP, CalDAV, WebDAV and HTTP; others provide compatibility with photo apps, password managers, container tooling and MCP clients.
In this talk, we will look at where Git maps surprisingly well to application concepts, where the abstraction starts to leak, and how Rust helps tie many very different interfaces to the same underlying data.
And because “everything is Git” was apparently not controversial enough, Everlock is built as a single Rust monolith containing storage, protocol servers, adapters and background jobs.
The talk is less about Git as version control and more about Git as an application storage primitive.

A spin-off of Martin Luther University 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲-Wittenberg, VEROVACCiNES develops animal vaccines on 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺: fast to develop, 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁-𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁. In April 2026 its first product, 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲-𝟯 against bluetongue, received 𝗘𝗨-𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. The company also signed its 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁-𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹 with a top-10 global animal health company. After a 𝗺𝗶𝗱-𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻-𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗕 in 2021, existing investors and the founders largely followed on with €𝟭.𝟲𝗠 in 2025.

KI verändert, wie wir mit WordPress arbeiten. Ob im Admin-Bereich, beim Schreiben, beim Entwickeln. Wir zeigen, wie Inhalte und Plugins per Chat entstehen, wie KI Texte in eurer eigenen Stimme generiert, und was sich im Entwicklungsalltag wirklich bewährt hat. Dazu ein Blick auf aktuelle AI-Features, die direkt in WordPress integriert werden. Kein Hype, sondern echte Workflows, offener Austausch und, ehrlich gesagt, auch ein paar Dinge, die (noch) nicht funktionieren.
Wir hatten das Thema im Juni und wollen euch zeigen, was sich seitdem verändert hat.

Programmiere deinen eigenen Discord-Bot – mit KI-Power!

In diesem 3-stündigen Workshop lernst du die Grundlagen der Discord-Bot-Programmierung in C#. Du erfährst, wie der Bot auf Nachrichten reagiert, Befehle ausführt und mithilfe externer KI-Dienste Texte verarbeitet oder generiert.

Schritt für Schritt führen wir dich durch das Setup, den sicheren Umgang mit Tokens und die Einbindung von KI-APIs. Am Ende besitzt du einen funktionsfähigen Discord KI Bot, den du direkt auf einem Server einsetzen kannst.

Vorkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich. Der Workshop ist perfekt für Einsteiger, die praxisnah Programmierung und KI-Anwendungen kennenlernen möchten.
