Running since June 2013, every month we have 1-2 talks focused on Security or Technology - followed by socialising with like minded people

TALK 1: Panel discussion amongst cybersecurity professionals talking about how they got into cybersecurity and their career progression - by CyberIreland
The event will provide attendees with practical insights, mentorship, and pathways into cybersecurity careers—whether they are early‑career professionals, students, career‑switchers, or established practitioners seeking to upskill.
Attendees will get real, practical advice from cybersecurity professionals about how they entered the field and what skills employers actually look for.

    After 10 years in the Aquaculture & Fishing industry, Louis obtained a Bsc. in I.T Management & Cybersecurity from M.T.U. Starting as an intern in eSentire's Security Operations Center in 2022, during the college semester, he has worked his way up through the SOC as an Analyst, Operations Lead, and now a Team Lead.
  • Vanda Badura, Senior Information Security Analyst, McKesson
    Vanda is an experienced IT and cybersecurity professional focused on data analytics, governance, and scalable operational improvements. She specialises in translating complex security and risk challenges into structured, data-driven solutions that improve decision-making and organisational visibility. Beyond her corporate role, Vanda founded and operated her own business, demonstrating end-to-end ownership across strategy, operations, and delivery.
  • Sharon Hanafin - Senior Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer, Dell Technologies
    Sharon is a Cybersecurity Engineer in Cloud Security, with a background in cloud engineering and product management. She works closely with technical and business teams to strengthen security practices, manage risk, and build resilient Cloud Environments. Sharon is based in Cork, Ireland and is passionate about supporting and advancing women in cybersecurity.

TALK 2: Overview of Women4Cyber and speed networking sessions - by Women4Cyber
Women4Cyber is a non-profit European private foundation with the objective to promote, encourage and support the participation of women in the field of cybersecurity.

Repair Café

Got broken items at home? Clothes, small appliances, toys, or electronics that need a little TLC? Bring them along to our Repair Café!

Bring your broken tech and trinkets to get them fixed by the skilled volunteers at TOG Hackerspace!

In 2026, we have partnered with the fantastic makers and fixers over at TOG to bring a series of community Repair Cafes to various locations across Dublin. On Saturday, the 20th of June, between 2 and 6pm, TOG Hackerspace will host the second café of the year!

At this event, the skilled volunteers at TOG will share their expertise and passion for repair, helping you fix your broken items and breathe new life into them. Whether it’s a malfunctioning gadget, a piece of clothing in need of mending, or a household item that’s seen better days, bring it along and let the TOG team work their magic.

What can you bring in?

  • Clothes and accessories
  • Toys
  • Small electrical appliances and electronics
  • Small furniture

.... And many other things!

Safety testing (PAT) for electrical devices will be available.

What happens at a repair cafe?

At the Repair Café, you can learn how to repair the item yourself, or watch and learn from the fantastic volunteers while enjoying a tea or coffee. TOG members will also be on hand to give you a tour while you wait

Repair Cafés are a great way to support a circular economy, reduce waste, and extend the life of your belongings.
