Speaker: Raphael de Lio
Abstract: For my first engagement as a Forward Deployed Engineer, I built disposable OpenClaw environments on Kubernetes. In this session, I explain how Redis Agent File System separates persistent user workspaces from temporary compute.
🎤 19:45 - "An ALMOST Practical Guide for k8s Multi-cluster Apps."
Speaker: Daniel Requena
Abstract: When a critical API runs on a single Kubernetes cluster, one bad day for that cluster becomes a bad day for the whole product.
This talk walks through our journey toward running applications simultaneously across multiple clusters — the incident that made the case for it, and the resilience goals that drove the effort.
The goal is to share valuable lessons learned across multiple areas — observability, traffic management, the deploy process, and more — so attendees can take them back and apply them in their own environments.

The Build Room

Claude Code. Cowork. Agents. Second brains. Skills, MCPs, automations, and all the half-finished things you've got running on your laptop right now.

The Build Room is a three hour Saturday session in Porto for people already building with AI, not people wondering where to start. We go deep on what we're actually making: how a second brain gets wired together, how agents get dispatched to do real work, how a custom skill turns a vague idea into something that ships.

We start with coffee and quick introductions, then a loose conversation round the room about what everyone's working on. From there someone takes the floor to show what they've been building, screen up, no polish required, and we dig into it together. The rest of the session is whatever the room needs - problems, blockers, half-working ideas, the thing that's been broken all week.

When you book a place you can ask for a slot to present, or tell us what you're stuck on, so the session gets shaped around what's actually in the room.

It's not a course and there's no curriculum. Some people in the room will know more than whoever's presenting, and that's the whole point.

​Most founders spend years becoming exceptional at building products, solving problems, or developing expertise. Very few are prepared for what happens when success requires a different process: becoming a leader. A communicator. A decision-maker. Someone whose greatest challenge is no longer technical, but psychological.
​This is an interactive Power Hour hosted by UPTEC that will explore the identity shift that occurs when our role changes faster than our sense of self.

​- The psychology of confidence, identity, and uncertainty during periods of rapid growth

​Rather than a traditional lecture, the session led by Keith Gissubel, combines psychology, storytelling, discussion, and experiential exercises that invite participants to recognize these patterns in themselves and leave with practical ways to navigate them.

HiTech is HiSeedTech’s hands-on programme for research teams developing deep-tech projects in Portugal.

Over 18 weeks of training, mentoring and expert support, participating teams explore the commercial potential of their technologies and scientific discoveries, develop a business case and define a pathway towards the market.

The programme combines two complementary tracks:

• Technology Push: for research teams looking to explore the commercial potential of their own deep-tech projects.
• Market Pull: for research teams interested in applying their knowledge and technologies to real-world challenges proposed by HiSeedTech Associates.

Participation in HiTech is free of charge for selected teams.

Cada pessoa escolhe onde quer estar e, se sentir que já não está a aprender nem a contribuir, pode mudar de conversa a qualquer momento. É a chamada “lei dos dois pés”.

É licenciado e mestre integrado em Engenharia Civil pela Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, e certificado em Scrum, Gestão de Produto, Kanban e SAFe.

Eduardo Espinheira
Eduardo é Manager na QAValue e docente convidado na Porto Business School e no ISEP. Tem mais de 25 anos de experiência profissional em Vendas, Marketing, Operações, Qualidade e Recursos Humanos. Atualmente dedica-se à consultoria e formação nas áreas de Gestão de Projetos, Agile e Equipas Autogeridas. É Executive MBA e Executive Master pela Católica Porto Business School, e licenciado e mestre em Engenharia Informática pela Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto. Tem ainda certificações em Gestão de Projetos, Scrum e Management 3.0.
