This is a friendly, open discussion group for anyone interested in AI safety whether you're completely new or already working in the field.

The goal of is to learn and build together a safe and beneficial AI world.

A collective experiment in AI, care & futures using instinct, wordplay and making to think together. No expertise required. Just curiousity.
Exquisite Corpus is MODE's first public experiment — a two-hour workshop where participants use word association, collaborative making, and collective reflection to explore how we think about AI, care, and the futures we're building together.
There are no experts here. No lectures. No right answers.
You'll work in small groups to create visual responses to randomly drawn word combinations — then layer your work with others, building toward a collective artifact that none of you could have made alone. In the process, something honest tends to emerge about how we actually feel about futures.
Who this is for:
Anyone curious about AI, technology, and collective futures. Artists, technologists, researchers, students, community organizers, people who feel excluded from the conversation about AI and want in. You don't need a background in ethics or technology. You need curiosity and willingness to play.
About MODE:
MODE (Meta Otium for Dynamic Ethics) is a new Dublin-based think tank exploring the ethical futures of AI and emerging technologies through participatory practice. We believe ethics isn't something observed from above — it's something practiced, embodied, and discovered collectively.

Der AI Act gilt. Doch was heißt das konkret für Ihr Unternehmen?

Künstliche Intelligenz verändert Unternehmen – und mit dem EU AI Act auch den rechtlichen Rahmen. Doch nicht jedes datengetriebene Tool ist automatisch ein „KI-System“ im Sinne des Gesetzes, und nicht jede Anwendung fällt in die Hochrisiko-Kategorie. Was weniger bekannt ist: Gleichzeitig schafft der AI Act auch Raum für Innovation, etwa durch KI-Reallabore, in denen neue Anwendungen unter Begleitung erprobt werden können. Gerade für den Mittelstand zeigt sich: Regulierung und Innovation schließen sich nicht aus.

Beim gemeinsamen KI-Stammtisch des Mittelstand-Digitalzentrums Franken und der Initiative Betreute Intelligenz bei der IHK Nürnberg geht es daher um die Frage, was Unternehmen in diesem Spannungsfeld jetzt wissen und tun sollten: Was verlangt der AI Act wirklich? Wer trägt Verantwortung? Und wie lassen sich eigene Use Cases rechtlich einordnen?

Der Abend ist in vier Teile gegliedert: Zu Beginn gibt es die „traditionelle“ Session der Betreuten Intelligenz von Steffen Ackermann mit den neuesten Trends und Entwicklungen. Anschließend folgt ein Überblick zu aktuellen Entwicklungen rund um den AI Act von Patrick Aurin. Daran schließen sich ein moderierter Austausch mit Fragen aus dem Publikum sowie ein Live-Compliance-Check ausgewählter Use-Cases aus dem Mittelstand-Digital-Umfeld zusammen mit Prof. Yvonne Wetsch an.
Das Format ist bewusst niedrigschwellig: kein Frontalvortrag, sondern Gespräch auf Augenhöhe. Es richtet sich an Unternehmen aus allen Branchen, die verstehen wollen, wo sie stehen. KI braucht keine Behördenzulassung – aber Unternehmen brauchen Orientierung. Genau dabei unterstützt dieser Abend.

In deze workshop zoekt Kif Kif samen met deelnemers naar strategieën om zich te verdedigen tegen onderdrukkende technologieën.

Technologie ontwikkelt zich razendsnel en dat brengt nieuwe risico's met zich mee. Wat gebeurt er als AI in straatcamera’s onze gezichten leest en bewegingen volgt? En wat als persoonlijke gegevens tegen ons worden gebruikt, bijvoorbeeld bij deelname aan een protest?

Op zaterdag 27 juni organiseert Kif Kif de workshop 'Control-Resist-Delete'. Tijdens deze sessie onderzoeken we samen hoe gemarginaliseerde gemeenschappen en activisten te maken krijgen met onderdrukkende technologieën. We leren hoe we elkaar kunnen beschermen en op welke manier we verzet kunnen bieden.

De focus ligt op uitwisseling tussen de deelnemers en het gezamenlijk ontwikkelen van strategieën om deze surveillance-systemen het hoofd te bieden.

Over de workshopgevers

- Igor Živković is beleidsmedewerker bij Kif Kif. Hij focust op online racisme, met een specifieke expertise in AI, data en racisme. Momenteel werkt hij voornamelijk rond surveillance, militarisering en Big Tech.

- Sanne Stevens is medeoprichter van het Justice, Equity and Technology Project. Dit collectief bouwt netwerken uit om de impact van datagedreven technologie op gemarginaliseerde gemeenschappen in heel Europa aan te pakken.

Technology is evolving at breakneck speed, bringing new dangers along with it. What happens when AI-powered street cameras scan our faces and track our every move? And what if our personal data is weaponized against us. For instance, when participating in a protest?

On Saturday 27th of june, Kif Kif is organizing the workshop 'Control-Resist-Delete'. Together with the participants, we will explore how marginalized communities and activists are targeted by oppressive technologies. We will discuss how to protect one another and how to build collective resistance. The workshop focuses on mutual exchange and co-creating strategies to navigate and counter oppressive tech.

About the Facilitators

- Igor Živković is a policy officer at Kif Kif specializing in online racism, with a focus on AI, data, and racial justice. His current work centers on surveillance, militarization, and Big Tech.

- Sanne Stevens is the co-founder of the Justice, Equity and Technology Project, a collective dedicated to building networks that address the impact of data-driven technology on marginalized communities across Europe.

AI & Social Responsibility Dialoge: Verantwortungsvolle KI in der Praxis mit Impulsen von der HASPA, Greenpeace & Hochbahn

Wie gelingt der verantwortungsvolle Einsatz von Künstlicher Intelligenz in Unternehmenund wie lässt er sich nachhaltig verankern? Die Veranstaltung „AI & Social Responsibility Dialoge: Verantwortungsvolle KI in der Praxis“ widmet sich genau diesen Fragen.

Impulse kommen von der Cathrin Herweg von der HASPA (IT-Management und Projekt Einführung S-KIPilot), Jonathan Niesel von Greenpeace Deutschland (IT-Teamleiter und Experte für Künstliche Intelligenz) und Robert Felber von der HOCHBAHN (Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)).

AI & Social Responsibility Dialoge: Verantwortungsvolle KI in der Praxis

Im Rahmen der Sustainability Week Hamburg lädt die Veranstaltung „AI & Social Responsibility Dialoge: Verantwortungsvolle KI in der Praxis“ des gemeinnützigen The Interface Society e. V. zu einem offenen Austausch über Responsible AI, nachhaltige Digitalisierung und verantwortungsvolle Künstliche Intelligenz ein.

Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Bürgerinnen und Bürger, Führungskräfte, Nachhaltigkeitsverantwortliche, Innovations- und Digitalexpert:innen sowie Interessierte aus Verwaltung, Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Zivilgesellschaft, die sich mit der praktischen Umsetzung von verantwortungsvoller KI beschäftigen.

In kurzen, praxisnahen Impulsvorträgen geben drei Hamburger Institutionen Einblicke in ihre Erfahrungen, Strategien und Herausforderungen bei der Entwicklung und Anwendung von Responsible AI. Dabei erhalten die Teilnehmenden konkrete Einblicke in Governance-Modelle, Umsetzungsmöglichkeiten und die nachhaltige Integration von KI-Systemen in Organisationen.

Im Anschluss schaffen interaktive Dialogformate wie Fishbowl-Diskussionen und ein World Café Raum für Austausch, Diskussion und gemeinsames Weiterdenken. Ziel ist es, einen breiten Dialog über ethische, nachhaltige und gesellschaftlich verantwortliche KI-Anwendungen anzustoßen und Impulse für die Praxis zu geben.

Nous verrons ensemble comment le choix des logiciels que nous utilisons au quotidien peuvent avoir un impact majeur sur notre avenir et comment nous pouvons nous en détacher.

– Explication de ce qu’est le logiciel libre et ses intérêts
– Présentation d’alternatives libres aux usages courants (mail, messages, GPS, agenda…)

We are Natasha and Tim from CoTech, a network of 28 worker-owned digital and tech cooperatives in the UK. 

We want to advance the debate around tech sovereignty with a view to helping more organisations and people understand the issues and risks involved in using big tech and empowering them to move away from it.
