Tech Policy & Ethics Events in Stockholm
European tech-policy and ethics events have grown into their own circuit, driven largely by the AI conversation and by the continent's unusually active relationship with tech regulation. This page covers the bigger conversations about technology rather than the hands-on building: AI governance, AI ethics, responsible-AI leadership, digital ethics, tech-in-society discussions, and the intersection of AI with education, law, and public institutions.
This page narrows the Stockholm calendar to Tech Policy & Ethics events. It's a subset of Sweden's wider tech-event schedule, useful when you want something specific to go to in the city this month.
Stockholm has one of Europe's strongest product, fintech, and games-industry event calendars. The city's concentration of consumer-facing scaleups (Klarna, Spotify, iZettle, King, Mojang) shows up in unusually strong product-management, growth, and data-product event content. Events that in other cities would be engineering-focused tilt toward product experimentation and metric-driven design here.

[Meet-Up] AI Safety Co-working sessions
Stockholm, đžđȘ Sweden
Are you working on something related to making society's AI transition safer, or would you like to?
In these co-working sessions, we will gather to coordinate and work on hands-on projects together. You can come with your own ideas or sign up for existing independent projects or those related to other organisations, such as PauseAI or Effective Altruism Sweden.
Our focus mostly lies on reducing the likelihood for and mitigating the risks of transformative AI - but we would also love to see people that are interested in thinking about positive visions for the future, and how we can get there safely.
In short, anyone who wants to put their hands on a project related to AI safety - research, policy, advocacy, community building or just learning more about related topics or converse with people that are there - are welcome!
OBS: If it's the first time you attend a co-working session, please book a short meeting with Simon at the link below so that he can introduce you to existing projects: this will make the sessions a lot smoother:
