Software Engineering Events in Bern
This is the widest category on Brainberg, because software engineering itself spans a huge range of events: language user groups (Python, Rust, Go, TypeScript, Kotlin, Elixir, Ruby, Zig), framework communities (React, Svelte, Next.js, Vue, Laravel, Django, NixOS), backend architecture tracks, testing and QA tracks (ISTQB certification courses, mutation testing, test-automation workshops), refactoring and DDD circles, hackathons, and the long tail of "thoughtful engineering" meetups that don't fit neatly under any specific stack.
This page narrows the Bern calendar to Software Engineering events. It's a subset of Switzerland's wider tech-event schedule, useful when you want something specific to go to in the city this month.

Uphill Conf
Bern, 🇨🇠Switzerland
After two sold-out editions, Uphill Conf 2026 is all about AI in production. This year, teams share what happened after deploying GenAI systems: architecture decisions, performance trade-offs, cost learnings, and real-world lessons from 1–2 years in operation.
Engineers and product teams from companies like Swisscom and Digitec Galaxus — alongside leaders from the open-source AI ecosystem — will walk through what works, what broke, and how their systems evolved under real-world pressure. Expect practical experience reports, honest insights on evals and security, and patterns you can apply immediately.
Day 1 (7th May): hands-on workshops.
Day 2: curated talks with breathtaking views from the Gurten overlooking Bern.
If you care about moving from hype to how-to, this one’s for you.

Azure Bootcamp Switzerland 2026
Bern, 🇨🇠Switzerland
Azure Bootcamp Switzerland is an all-day conference about the Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing platform and will take place on May 21st, 2026 at Welle 7 in Bern.
Further information about the Azure Bootcamp Switzerland, as well as registration and tickets will be found at https://azurebootcamp.ch
The Azure Bootcamp Switzerland is a community event and open to everyone. We ask you to pay a small fee for the ticket for the following reasons. First, free tickets always result in a high no-show rate when people register for the event and don't show up. This makes planning really difficult for us. We want to avoid that the venue is overbooked and people are sent home or the opposite happens and the venue is underbooked and no tickets can be given to people who would like to attend the event.
Another big issue is the catering. We have to place firm orders for catering during lunchtime and during all breaks. If the no-show rate is high, all the food would have to be thrown away. If you can't afford the ticket for personal reasons and still want to participate, contact us and we will find a way. Please remember that the conference is still a non-profit community conference. A positive financial balance will be invested in future events and donated to a charity partner organization.
It would be our pleasure to welcome you at the Azure Bootcamp in Bern!
