Brainberg

Software Engineering Events in Zurich

This is the widest category on Brainberg, because software engineering itself spans a huge range of events: language user groups (Python, Rust, Go, TypeScript, Kotlin, Elixir, Ruby, Zig), framework communities (React, Svelte, Next.js, Vue, Laravel, Django, NixOS), backend architecture tracks, testing and QA tracks (ISTQB certification courses, mutation testing, test-automation workshops), refactoring and DDD circles, hackathons, and the long tail of "thoughtful engineering" meetups that don't fit neatly under any specific stack.

This page narrows the Zurich calendar to Software Engineering events. It's a subset of Switzerland's wider tech-event schedule, useful when you want something specific to go to in the city this month.

Zurich sustains one of the most research-dense tech-event calendars in Europe, anchored by ETH Zurich and the broader Swiss research ecosystem. ML-research, systems, and programming-languages communities are particularly strong. This is one of the places in Europe where compiler, distributed-systems, and cryptography research still has a community event presence in the form of guild nights, reading groups, and visiting-speaker series.

Swiss PSUG 06/2026

Zurich, 🇨🇭 Switzerland

Dear Microsoft Swiss PSUG,
We have planned another exciting event.

Place & Language:
Place: Isolutions AG, The Circle 38, 8058 ZĂźrich (Hybrid with Teams)
Language: EN

Session 1: PowerShell Notebooks in Practice: Real‑World Use Cases
Description:
PowerShell Notebooks can significantly enhance how we build and operate tools. This session showcases practical, real‑world scenarios—including onboarding and offboarding workflows, pipeline integration, diagnostic data collection, and development against both on‑prem and cloud services. With plenty of demos, you’ll see how notebooks can improve productivity and clarity across the entire lifecycle.
Speaker: MVP David Sass

Session 2: Updating isn’t the hard part — Knowing What changed Is
Description:
PowerShell modules evolve constantly — features change, bugs are fixed, and behavior shifts. While updating a module is easy, understanding the impact of updates is not. Outdated modules risk lost functionality, while rushed updates can introduce subtle breaking changes.
In this demo-focused session, we explore a practical approach to tracking meaningful module changes without notification overload. Using the PackageUpdateInfo module, we show how to detect and report relevant differences between versions.
Speaker: David Bellstedt

Agenda:
17:00 Welcome
17:30 Session 1
18:15 Session 2
19:00 Networking and Beer
20:00 End of Event

The future of our work starts with a conversation

Zurich, 🇨🇭 Switzerland

ÂŤThe creative and UX industry is changing fast. Roles are shifting, tools are evolving, expectations are rising, and many people are asking what their skills will be worth in the future.Âť

This evening is not a classic Last Thursday Talk. UX Schweiz and Syndicom invite the community to a workshop and open exchange for people working in UX, design, research, strategy, communication and related creative fields.

The focus is especially on people at the beginning of their careers, people in transition, and everyone currently asking: What does the future of our work actually look like? We want to create a space for hopes, concerns, changing roles, useful skills, new tools, AI, career paths and possible forms of support within the community. Uncertainty is allowed, but we do not want to stay stuck in fear.

The evening starts with a short input by Pascal Geronimi. After that, we will work in small groups: collecting thoughts, clustering topics, discussing what matters most, and sharing key insights.

Together, we want to explore:

  • What currently gives us hope?
  • What feels uncertain or worrying?
  • How are roles, tools and expectations changing?
  • Which skills and mindsets might become more important?
  • What kind of support could UX Schweiz, Syndicom or the wider community offer?

This is an experimental format. Because this is a workshop-style event, places are limited. Please only register if you are quite sure you can attend. If your plans change, please cancel your RSVP so someone else can join.

Format

  • Short intro input
  • Small-group exchange
  • Shared takeaways in the plenum
  • Optional informal drinks afterwards nearby

A small question before you come
You do not need to prepare anything. But take a moment to think about this: When you think about the future of your work: what gives you hope, and what makes you unsure?

Practical information
• The event will be held in English.
• The number of participants is limited.
• Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time.

Hello 50:50 World in Zurich: Humane Technology

Zurich, 🇨🇭 Switzerland

Hello 50:50 World June meetup about the hidden key to humane technology with Itzel Lerma.

Lightning Talk

What? The Hidden Key to Humane Technology

Who? Itzel Lerma, Startup Poineer & Neuroplasticity Trainer

Hosted by: Martina Niggli

It’s Not What We Build — It’s Who We Are When We Build It

We live in an era of technological acceleration — and with it, a growing unease. We sense it. Something is off. The companies that set out to change the world for good — many of them didn’t. And we’ve been asking ourselves why ever since.

In this deeply reflective conversation, you will be guided to look in a direction most tech conversations never go. Because the secret to humane technology has been hiding in plain sight — and it has nothing to do with the technology itself. It has everything to do with the individual and collective consciousness, values, and reasons behind how we build it.

You will leave seeing tech differently. And more importantly, you will leave seeing yourself differently.

We will for example be talking about…

  • What does it really mean to build from a place of integrity — and why good intentions alone are not enough?
  • How does our own disconnection from ourselves show up in the products and companies we create?
  • What would it look like to bring more of our humanity — our awareness, our inner wisdom — into the way we build?
  • How can personal transformation become a collective act of building technology that truly serves people?

Do you have a topic or a speaker in mind for a lightning talk? Get in touch at hello5050world@gmail.com

Hello 50:50 World

Can we really achieve gender equity and diversity in tech if we stay in our feminist bubbles? Do you believe that we can only achieve more equality when everybody is on board? Then join the conversation on diversity in tech at our Hello 50:50 world meetups.

To participate, you’ll need to bring someone with a different perspective (e.g., gender, nationality, etc.) to ensure balanced participation. Both you and your +1 need to get a ticket so we can better manage attendance.

Product Marketing x GTM meetup in Zurich

Zurich, 🇨🇭 Switzerland

First dedicated PMM×GTM meetup in Zurich, focused conversations and peer networking. Help us shape the local community you’ve been missing.

In Zurich - and across Switzerland - GTM professionals and Product Marketers tackle the same challenges: launches that stall, positioning that doesn’t land, ownership that blurs across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Growth. Yet there’s no dedicated, recurring Swiss meetups where we can talk candidly about how execution actually works across functions.

This one-off gathering is designed to test the waters and foster exactly that exchange: honest peer discussion, practical idea-sharing, and trusted contacts you can call on for support or feedback.

Who should attend

✓ Product marketers, PMM leaders, Sales enablement

✓ GTM engineers, Growth, Field marketers

✓ Revenue, RevOps, Sales professionals

✓ Solution consultants, Product managers

✓ Founders/operators hands-on with GTM execution

What to expect

  • A curated room of 30 PMM/GTM peers
  • Small-group exchanges on relevant themes/topics
  • Open cross-pollination conversations
  • No slides, no panels, no sales pitches
  • Free entry; food & drinks at your own expense
  • English-speaking
Discussion prompts (inspiration)
  1. Where does GTM collaboration most often break down?
  2. What does PMM need from Product, Sales, and Growth to be effective?
  3. Which GTM responsibilities are shared in theory, but forgotten in practice?
  4. What does “good cross-functional execution” look like at a company that’s actually scaling?
  5. Where is human judgment still decisive in GTM work today?
  6. Which profiles/functions are undervalued in strong GTM execution?
  7. What should teams stop doing to improve launches & adoption?
  8. What would make a Swiss PMM×GTM community genuinely useful?
Agenda
  • 19:00 Doors open - arrival, drinks, name tags
  • 19:10 Welcome & intro (5 min)
  • 19:15 Open conversations around themed tables / cross-pollination
  • 20:50 Group photo (optional, consent asked)

Zielstrebig zur Schweizerischen Antwort auf Miro mit Collaboard

Zurich, 🇨🇭 Switzerland
