Tech Events in Dublin
Dublin's tech-event calendar reflects the city's role as EMEA HQ for most major US cloud, SaaS, and social-media companies. AWS, Azure, GCP, Salesforce, Meta, Google, Microsoft, Stripe, and HubSpot all run recurring developer events here, alongside an independent meetup scene covering Kubernetes, data engineering, AI-applied, product, and engineering leadership.
Conferences run year-round out of the RDS and the Convention Centre. Web Summit, despite moving primarily to Lisbon, still has Dublin connections, and the startup-ecosystem backbone is strong via organizations like NDRC and Dogpatch Labs. The calendar leans English-language and international.

OpenClaw: Making it useful
Dublin, 🇮🇪 Ireland
Your OpenClaw is running. It replies. Maybe it's done a few things you've asked it to.
Now make it genuinely useful.
NOTE: Registration invalid on meetup. Please register on here for a valid ticket: www.giveago.co/register/openclaw2
This is the second day in the OpenClaw series. We're going deeper: memory that actually persists across conversations, a knowledge base it can draw on, skills that connect it to the tools you already use, and workflows that handle a whole process end to end. These are the things that turn an interesting agent into something you actually rely on.
Self-directed, table-group format. You work at your own pace, in your own direction, with people around you doing the same.
What we'll work through together
- Memory architecture: short-term, long-term, episodic and how to set them up properly
- Knowledge bases: connecting your own docs and notes so the agent can draw on them
- Good skills to add: which integrations are worth the effort (Notion, email, calendar, GitHub)
- Giving access to tools: MCP, APIs, function calling
- Proper workflows: multi-step, conditional, handling a whole process and not just one message
- Sandboxing: running actions safely without breaking things or leaking data
NOTE: Registration invalid on meetup. Please register on here for a valid ticket: www.giveago.co/register/openclaw2
You don't need to have come to Event 1. If you have OpenClaw running, you're ready for this.
Bring a laptop. Bring your OpenClaw running.

Workshop: Analyse your Receipts with Tensorix
Dublin, 🇮🇪 Ireland
Build a private AI app in one evening
Sometimes you do not want to send your data away to someone else's cloud. You want private AI on infrastructure you
can rely. Tensorix (www.tensorix.ai) offers: 30+ open-weight models (DeepSeek, Qwen, Kimi and
friends) on EU-sovereign infrastructure with no data retention, behind a drop-in OpenAI-compatible API.
This is a hands-on workshop. Bring a laptop. You will leave with:
- A working app you built yourself, running on your laptop
- A pipeline that extracts text from images
- A receipt classifier you can show your colleagues, and the skills to extend it
- A Tensorix account, set up and loaded with free credits (pay-as-you-go after that, no monthly fees or minimums)
- Pizza eaten
On the night I will step through building a Streamlit app using spec-driven development, connecting it to Tensorix,
and getting your colleagues using it. No AI experience needed; a little Python helps. I code in cursor so downloading that will help. But if you know another ide you will be fine to use that.
If you can sign up at https://tensorix.ai/ for an account that will save some time.
Tensorix are hosting us at their space and are providing the LLM credits and the pizza. It is a workshop with limited numbers so please keep your rsvp accurate if you can.

Ecosystem Economics — A French Tech Apéro with VIVA GTM

ProductTank Dublin: Building AI Products That Matter . Hosted by Cubic³
Dublin, 🇮🇪 Ireland
Building AI Products That Matter explores what it really takes to turn AI ideas into products that create real business impact. Join us for an honest discussion on moving beyond experimentation, identifying meaningful problems, validating outcomes, and building AI solutions that scale in production. Expect practical insights, lessons learned, and real-world perspectives from teams actively delivering AI products.
🔹 Talk 1: Building AI Into Products: Why Some Efforts Fail Before They Begin
AI is rapidly becoming a core part of modern products, with teams increasingly able to add powerful capabilities in a matter of days. When done well, it can unlock entirely new user experiences, drive efficiency, and create meaningful competitive advantage. But while the technology has never been more accessible, successfully integrating it into real products requires more than just plugging in a model.
Many teams move quickly to add AI features without first addressing the underlying foundations — particularly data quality and workflow design. The result is often inconsistent outputs, low adoption, and systems that struggle to deliver real value at scale. In practice, AI tends to amplify the strengths and weaknesses of the environment it operates in, making these prerequisites critical.
Speaker: Cathal Ó Riain, Director of Data Products at Cubic³
Through roles with Accenture, Aon, Flutter and Cubic, Cathal has experience building and scaling data-driven products and AI-enabled systems in enterprise environments. In this talk, he explores the key foundations required to effectively integrate AI into products — from preparing high-quality data to embedding AI into processes where it can genuinely add value — along with practical lessons on how to set AI initiatives up for success from the outset.
🔹 Talk 2: The Customer Insights Stack: What It Really Takes to Build (And When You Shouldn't)
Every company sits on a huge amount of customer insight data - call recordings, support tickets, sales conversations - that rarely gets revisited. At the same time, building internal AI tooling has never been easier, leading many teams into a “build everything” mindset. But when building becomes cheap, deciding what’s actually worth building becomes the real challenge. Teams often end up with fragmented tools that don’t scale, are difficult to maintain, and fail to deliver clarity or adoption.
Speaker: Richard Blythman, Co-Founder & CEO of Naptha AI
Richard has experience building both custom enterprise solutions and scalable productized platforms in this space. In this talk, he explores the spectrum from lightweight AI workflows using Claude Code to fully productionized customer insight systems, including the trade-offs, investment considerations, and performance comparisons against custom-built solutions.
What to Expect:
- Interactive Q&A: Bring your toughest product challenges; our speakers are ready for your questions.
- Networking: As always, we’ll have plenty of food and drinks to fuel the conversation. It’s the perfect opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new people from Dublin’s product community.

exquisite corpus workshop
Dublin, 🇮🇪 Ireland
A collective experiment in AI, care & futures using instinct, wordplay and making to think together. No expertise required. Just curiousity.
Exquisite Corpus is MODE's first public experiment — a two-hour workshop where participants use word association, collaborative making, and collective reflection to explore how we think about AI, care, and the futures we're building together.
There are no experts here. No lectures. No right answers.
You'll work in small groups to create visual responses to randomly drawn word combinations — then layer your work with others, building toward a collective artifact that none of you could have made alone. In the process, something honest tends to emerge about how we actually feel about futures.
Who this is for:
Anyone curious about AI, technology, and collective futures. Artists, technologists, researchers, students, community organizers, people who feel excluded from the conversation about AI and want in. You don't need a background in ethics or technology. You need curiosity and willingness to play.
About MODE:
MODE (Meta Otium for Dynamic Ethics) is a new Dublin-based think tank exploring the ethical futures of AI and emerging technologies through participatory practice. We believe ethics isn't something observed from above — it's something practiced, embodied, and discovered collectively.
This is our first public experiment. Come be part of it.

Building Stories: Towards a National Buildings Platform for Ireland
Dublin, 🇮🇪 Ireland
Building Stories: Towards a National Buildings Platform for Ireland A collaborative discussion with networking lunch
Unlocking Spatial Data, Transforming the Built Environment
To unlock housing in Ireland, our public and private sectors need a much clearer understanding of levels of vacancy and dereliction across our towns and cities. This means building trusted data platforms to safely share, store, and operationalise Irish national datasets. It means moving Irish data sharing approaches in line with EU norms to remove the blockages that stop us making progress.
The impacts in Ireland of having dynamic, reliable, coordinated and accessible data in a National Buildings Platform would be significant: evidence-driven policies, better planning decisions, and a more efficient use of the built environment. Join the Building Stories project team to hear about progress made towards a new National Buildings Platform, and share your insights on pathways to data sharing for public good.
Short project presentations led by Dr Philip Crowe will be followed by an expert panel (speakers TBA) moderated by Dr Rob Brennan, and an open Q&A session. The event continues the collaboration between the Building Stories project and the Earth Institute Democracy and the Environment seminar series. Coffee and a light networking lunch will be served.

AI, Power & Our Future (Part 2): Empire of AI
Dublin, 🇮🇪 Ireland
A cinema-style book club series on AI, power, and what comes next—from The Coming Wave to Empire of AI.
We’re not just reading about AI anymore.
We’re living inside it.
From breakthroughs to disruption, AI is reshaping how we work, think, and lead.
But beneath all the innovation lies a deeper question:
👉 Who is shaping this future and who truly benefits from it?
This is the second session of a 2-part live series on AI, power, and society.
We go deeper into the bestseller book Empire of AI: Dreams and Nightmares in Sam Altman’s OpenAI by Karen Hao , unpacking the ambitions, power, and contradictions behind the race to build AI.
🎬 THE EXPERIENCE
This is not a typical book club. It’s a curated space for thinking, questioning, and understanding what comes next.
Hosted at Odeon Point Square Cinema, one of Dublin’s most iconic cinematic venues, this is far from your typical book club experience.
👉 Think:
- cinematic setting
- immersive conversation
- curated, intimate experience
Written by award-winning journalist Karen Hao, one of the leading voices covering artificial intelligence and the tech industry, Empire of AI pulls back the curtain on the rise of OpenAI, Sam Altman, and the race to build machines powerful enough to reshape the world.
Drawing from deep reporting and insider access, the book explores the dreams, ambitions, and growing tensions behind the companies driving the AI revolution.
This session will unpack:
• The hidden power dynamics shaping the future of AI
• The tension between idealism, profit, and control
• What the race toward AGI means for creativity, work, and society
• Whether AI is being built for humanity or simply becoming another empire
This event is Part 2 of a curated AI series:
Part 1 — The Coming Wave (April 30)
→ Understanding the scale and speed of AI disruption
Part 2 — Empire of AI (September 30)
→ Who holds the power behind AI systems
(based on Empire of AI by Karen Hao)
👉 Attend one or both but together, they tell the full story.
✨ WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENTThis event is part of My SafeSpace , a platform rethinking how we engage with books.

We are happy to extend an invitation to our event, offering a chance to network with mid- and senior-level women pros across diverse IT domains, rub shoulders with CTOs, connect with talented dev teams, and mingle with the brilliant minds behind your favorite tech brands. This event is a match made in heaven for software engineers, data scientists, PMs and project managers, and UI/UX designers who want to stay ahead of the game in the fast-paced world of tech. While this event is centered around women in tech, we extend a warm invitation to everyone to join us.On the company side, we have CTOs who can write code blindfolded, VP of Engineering who have a black belt in project management, and talent acquisition leaders who have recruited more people than McDonald's has served hamburgers. And on the attendee side, we have techies who know how to turn caffeine into code and can make an app out of thin air. This event is not just about networking, it's about connecting with fellow mid-/senior tech pros in the industry, sharing a laugh or two, and maybe even finding your next career move. So come join us for a unique networking event where job seekers take the driver's seat!
We will: listen to short and sweet pitches by CTOs and hiring teams and vote best pitch (who said that corporate evaluation can't be fun?), talk all things tech, network and run speed interviews, meet faces behind our fav tech brands, and see what our local tech has to offer this season.
